HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - September 7, 1976 - RA6 • AZUSA AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA TUESDAY, SEPI Councilman Decker offered the Resolution entitled A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO GRANT A FRANCHISE Ta AZUSA LAND RECLAMATION CO , INC A CORPORATION, FOR AN INDEF- INATE TERM TO LAY, CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A PIPELINE SYSTEM CONSISTING OF LINES OF PIPE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTING METHANE GAS ALONG CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY 20 7, 1976 Page 9 Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried by roll call that further reading be waived Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry that the Resolution be adopted Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of Council AYES Councilmen Decker, Fry, Arkison, Solem NOES Councilmen None ABSENT Councilmen Cruz M A request was received from the League of California Voting dele- N Cities that Council designate a voting representative gate & alter - M and an alternate for conference to be held in San Diego, nate at LCC October 17-20, 1976 Conference Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried that Mayor Solem be appointed delegate, and Councilman Decker as alternate A proposed Resolution was presented directing the Plan- Res #6460 ning Commission to rescind and cancel its previous re CBD selection of boundaries of proposed Azusa CBD Redevelop- Redevelopment ment Project, and to select new boundaries for proposed Project Azusa CBD Redevelopment Project from within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Survey Area Gregg Mayfield, Planning Aide addressed Council explain- ing reasons for change of boundaries for the project area Councilman Decker offered the Resolution entitled A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DIRECTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO RECIND AND CANCEL ITS PREVIOUS SEIrCTION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED AZUSA CBD REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND ITS PREVIOUS FORMU- LATION OF THE PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF SUCH PROPOSED REDEVEIDP14EbTT PROJECT AREA, AND DIRECTING THE PLANNING COM14ISSION TO SELECT NEW BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPHENT PROJECT AND TO FORMULATE A NEW PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE NEWLY SELECTED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried by roll call that further reading be waived Moved by Councilman Decker, seconced by Councilman Fry that the pesolution be adopted Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of Council AYES Councilmen Decker, Fry, Arkison, Solem NOES Councilmen None ABSENT Councilmen Cruz A communication Aas submitted from City Librarian stating Bequest from the Library had received $1,000 from Dr Covington's Dr Covington's estate, and listed items to be purchased Each item to be estateCity suitably labeled acknowledging the donor Library
