HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - October 5, 1981 - RACIVIC AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 1981 8 05 p m The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place Chairman Solem called the meeting to order Call to Order Present at Roll Call Directors Decker, Fry, Cruz, Roll Call Moses, Solem Also Present City Attorney/General Counsel Newton, Consultants Linn and Wolf, Executive Director Dangleis, City Department Heads, Secretary Solis There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes of Appvl Min of the September 21, 1981 regular meeting stand approved 9/21/81 mtg as written Moved by Director Moses, seconded by Director Cruz Appvl addit'l and unanimously carried by roll call to approve additional revenue bonds Mortgage Revenue Bonds for Lesny Development Company (Lesny & Rainbow and the Rainbow Angling Lake Village, and to engage both Anglinq Co ) First Interstate Bank and Miller and Schroeder Municipals, Inc , as joint or co -underwriters Secondly, to engage the firm of Stradling, Yocca, Carlson and Rauth as bond counsel, and further to instruct Urban Futures to assist in the preparation and review of materials and represent the Agency to both bond counsel, underwriter and rating agencies as was accomplished under the Agency Bond Issue in 1979 Moved by Director Decker, seconded by Director Fry Appvl Commit and unanimously carried by roll call that commitment Contrct Exten contract extension requested by Rainbow Angling Club Rainbow Ang Co Company be granted subject to the Agency obtaining adequate assurances from subject developer that any revenue loss to the program, as verified by Laventhal & Horwath, certified public accountants, due to granting of this extension would be reimbursed to the Agency by the developer prior to the funding of any mortgage Moved by Director Moses, seconded by Director Cruz Ltr to Delta and unanimously carried by roll call that Executive Realty re motel Director be authorized to draft a letter to Mr Joseph site,. 1st & Tong of Delta Realty regarding proposed motel project at Alameda First and Alameda, addressing the five concerns of the developer as stipulated in his communication of September 30th, (copy on file) advising that the City would encourage and agree to the appropriate processing of all of the necessary procedures for obtaining the items that they may need, however, not guaranteeing that there would be a variance granted due to the Agency not having the power to do so Moved by Director Decker, seconded by Director Moses and Ad] to Exec unanimously carried to adjourn to Joint Executive Session Session w/Council with City Council at end of City Council meeting (end of Cncl mtg) Time of Adjournment 8 47 p m Agency jointly with City Council recessed to Executive Joint Exec Session at 9 40 p m Session Agency reconvened at 10 13 p m Reconvened 0 0 CIVIC AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 1981 Page 2 Moved by Director Decker, seconded by Director Fry Adz to 10/14/81 and unanimously carried to adjourn meeting to Wednesday, October 14, 1981, at 7 00 p m , to handle necessary business in connection with the Agency Time of Adjournment 10 14 p m lax Secretary Next Resolution #79
