Present at roll call Smith, Petty, Clark, Collins. absent. Barnes. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved The application of F. D. Streshly for the renewal of his pool room license was read. I It was moved by Petty seconded by Clark that the license be granted. Roll call Ayes: Smith, Petty, Clark, Collins. Noes: None Absent: Barnes. Communications were read from the General Electric Co., California State County andiMunicipal Purchasing Agents Ass- ociation,Board of Supervisore,and R. B. Taylor. It was moved by Petty seconded by Clark that the bids on the installation of the electrolier system be opened, read, and publicly declared. Motion carried. The following bids were read. Keystone Iron Works, -----------------07,538.80 City Electric Supply C0.9 ----------------7;199.35 Southern California Electric Co -------- 7,343.00 F. 0. Engstrum Co. ---------------------7,140.00 It was moved by Petty seconded by Clark that the'bids be referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer . Motion carried. It was moved by Clark seconded by Petty that the communicat ion of the General Electric Co, be referred to the City Attorney for adjustment. Motion carried. It was moved by Uark seconded by Petty that the Street Superintendent be instructed to cap the vents at the sewer reservoir. Motion carried. It was moved by Petty seconded by Clark that the Supt. of Light & Water fix the fire hydrants so hs;:.to get water from them for sprinkling the streets. Motion carried. i The ordinance amending the Water rate ordinance was taken up for the second reading.
