The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in Special
Session at 7:30 P.M. to hear anymprotest that might have been
filed against the improvement of Dalton Avenue.
After the Clerk stating that there were not any protests
filed it was moved by Clark seconded by Petty that the City i
Attorney prepare a Resolution ordering the work on Dalton Avenue.
Roll Call Ayes: Petty, Clark Collins,
Noes: None
Absdhth: iarnes, Smith.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Petty that the meeting
adjourn. Motion Carried.

.The minutes of Jan. 3rd and Jan. 18th 1916 were read and

approved. -
.Fire Chief 1Y, J. Evans was before the Board and stated
that the 500 feet of new fire hose had been received and that three
sections of it were taken to Glendora and tested and found to be in
first class shape. Mr. Evans was instructed to take the balance
of the hose to Glendora and test that before it could be accepted.
A communication was read from the County Road Commissioner
F. H. Joiner stating that the County could not loan or rent any of
their road equipment, j
Trustee Smith now present.
-It was moved by Barnes seconded by Clark that the four
insurance policies that expire this month be given to W. J. Wade,
W.O.Streshly, A. J. Bantly and T. C: Bouldin

-The report of the Water & Light Departments was read.
Trustee Clark offered a Resolution being A Resolution.

The Resolution was read by the Clark and seconded by Barnes.

bills be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasurer for the same.

It was moved by Petty seconded by Smith that the Street Supt.
be authorized to hire, if possible, necessary machinery and fix up
our streets.

Mr. Wright of the Telephone Co, was before the Board in re -
Bard to putting their lines on our electric poles.
It was moved by Petty seconded by Smith that the rent to be
paid by the Telephone Co, be left to the Light & Nater Supt, for
adjustment.

Mr. R. Smith was before the Board asking that an ordinance be
passed licensing all plumbers doing work inside the City limits.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the matter be
referred tomthe Ordinance and Judiciary Co.mnittec. Motion carried.
Mr. V.I. P. Taylor said L'.E.Speer wase before the Board asking for
a 20 year lease on the City's land south of Azusa.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the matter be re-
fereed to the City Attorney to report next meeting. Motion carried.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Clark that the meeting
adjourn, Motion carried.
