The Doard of Trustees^met in regular adjourned session at 7:40
Present at roll call Barnes, P,obinson, 'Teraplin, Case, Roach
"Z'5 It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the Protests on
Dalton Avenue be overruled. Motion carried.
} Urs, Ballard made a request for permission to move a Tent -hole
� on the Lot north of J. E. lIibsch on Dalton Avenue.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that this matter be
referred to the Public Works Coimnittee with power to act and to
designation the .location of the house. Motion carried.
Rev, R. P. Gates asked _ernussion to errect a revival tent on
the lots at the corner of Ala:aeda Ave. and Centre Street.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Case that the matter be
referred to the Public Worts committee with power to act. Motion
carried,
Mr. C. L. Sl:lith was before the Board ashin•,-; that a conmiittee
be appointed to form a :come Guard for home protection
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Templin that the request In
i;ronted and that the President appoint a committee of three to see
the Sheriff and be sworn in as Deputys This coimniti;ee to form
the company for Ilome Protection, I_'otion carried,
President Roach appointed on this committee Dr. J. W. Calvert
Mr. C.. L. Smith and lis. L. Case.
Mr Golby and Ur. H. B. Jones were before the board protesting
against the work on Dalton .Avenue.
�Ny It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the Street Supt

on Pasadena Avenue back to the property line. Motion carried., A
\ It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the City Approp- "'Of�
iate ti�50.00 for a two day carnival to celebrate the completion of C"'✓".�,✓"
the Water and LighttSystems. The President to appoint a committee
of fifteen, including the council to take charge of this carnival.
The carnival to be held sometime during the first week of Septembar
1916. Motion carried. �.Ev
Dr. J. �?. Hill was before the Board stating that Dr. Atkinson �a 1 i✓
had a case of diptheria, which was quarantined and that one of the b
family was being allowed to go to Los Angeles every day which was
strictly against the law and asked the Board to take some action an
the matter.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the matter be
referred to the Sanitary and Police Committee with Dr. IIill and
the City Attorney. The City Earshal to notify these people not
to leave the house until the quarantine was removed. by the health
Officer. Motion carried.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Case that the Mseting ad-
journ. Motion carried.
