The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium. Chairman Alexander called the meeting to order. PRESENT: DIRECTORS: HARDISON, MADRID, NARANJO, BEEBE, ALEXANDER ABSENT: DIRECTORS: NONE rimem'ouav General Counsel Deitsch, Executive Director Garcia, Redevelopment Director Cervantes, City Department Heads, Secretary Solis, Deputy Secretary Toscano. Call to Order Roll Call Also Present The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of items I -la through I -lc was approved Consent I -la - by motion of Director Beebe, seconded by Director Naranjo and unanimously carried I -lc, appvd by roll call vote. a. The Minutes of the regular meeting of January 2, 1996, were approved as Min appvd written. b. A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY Res. 96-R2 OF AZUSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVING THE ANNUAL Annual Report REPORT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,1995. C. Resolution authorizing payment of warrants by the Agency was adopted and entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY Res. 96-R3 OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS TO BE Warrants PAID OUT OF REDEVELOPMENT FUNDS. None. None. Spec Call None Scheduled Items None. It was consensus of the Board Members to recess to the end of the Council meeting. Recess THE CITY COUNCIL RECESSED AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CRA/City RECONVENED TO RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION. convene jntly 0 0 Moved by Councilmember/Director Naranjo, seconded by Closed Session Councilmember/Director Beebe and unanimously carried by roll call to recess to closed session to discuss the following: Real Property Negotiations (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.8), for the following: Ed Seidner, 900-905 West Foothill Boulevard, Azusa, California, Terms of Agreement. Pending Litigation (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.9 (a), City of Azusa and City of Azusa Redevelopment Agency v. Mission Chrysler - Plymouth Inc., et al.; Los Angeles Superior Court. City of Azusa v. Southern California Edison; Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC093146. Pending Litigation (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.9 (b)(1)), 1 case. TIME OF RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION: 11:35 P.M. Recess THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Reconvened RECONVENED AT 1:06 A.M. General Counsel Deitsch advised that the City of Azusa and the City of Azusa City Attorney Redevelopment Agency have filed a complaint in the Superior Court for the County advised of Los Angeles, Case No. KCO21914, against Mission Chrysler -Plymouth Inc, complaint Gregory L. Johnson, James Conner, Patrick Conner, Timothy Conner, and Does Mission 1-100, alleging breach of contract, breach of lease, specific performance fraud, Chrysler negligent misrepresentation, default under security agreement, possession of collateral and declaratory relief. Moved by Councilmember/Director Beebe, seconded by Councilmember/Director Adjourn Hardison and unanimously carried by roll call to adjourn to Monday, January 29, to 1/29/96 1996, at the City Library Auditorium, at 7:30 P.M., in order to conduct Workshops Workshops on Utility Restructuring and Library update.
