CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 5, 1996 - 8:52 P.M.
The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above
date and time in the Civic Auditorium.
Chairman Alexander called the meeting to order.
PRESENT: DIRECTORS: HARDISON, MADRID, NARANJO, BEEBE,
ALEXANDER
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: NONE
General Counsel Deitsch, Executive Director Garcia, City Department Heads,
Secretary Solis, Deputy City Clerk Toscano.

The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of items I -la through I-ld were approved Consent Cal.
by motion of Director Madrid, seconded by Director Naranjo and unanimously Appvd, Item
carried by roll call vote, with the exception of item I -1b, which was considered under I-16 Spec Call
the Special Call portion of the Agenda.
a. The Minutes of the regular meeting of July 15, 1996, were approved as written.
b. SPECIAL CALL ITEM.
C. The Agency Treasurer's Report as of June 30, 1996, was received and filed.
d. Four separate resolutions authorizing payment of warrants by the Agency were
adopted and entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS TO BE
PAID OUT OF REDEVELOPMENT FUNDS.

Discussion was held between Boardmembers and Interim Redevelopment Director Prop @ 918
Steel regarding the history of the Agency owned property at 918 North Azusa Avenue N. Azusa Av.
and the numerous problems encountered regarding the proposed sale of the property.
Moved by Director Beebe, seconded by Director Madrid and carried by roll call to
approve the 90 day Listing Agreement, authorize Chairman to execute, allow a Real Estate
minimum 3% down payment for the home under the silent deed of trust program. Listing Agmt
Further, to keep listing price staff is offering, that staff create a financing mechanism appvd
and entertain any and all offers for the property. Chairman Alexander and Director
Naranjo dissenting.

JOINTLY TO RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION AT 9:45 P.M.
Moved by Councilmember Beebe, seconded by Councilmember Naranjo and
unanimously carried by roll call to recess to Closed Session to discuss the following:
Pendine Litigation (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.9 (a). (1) City of Azusa and the City of
Azusa Redevelopment Agency v. Mission Chrysler -Plymouth Inc., et al.; Los
Angeles Superior Court, Case No. KCO21914. (2) El Toro Bravo, Angel Juarez v.
City of Azusa, Case No. KCO23342.
Real ProlleM Negotiations (Gov. Code Sec. 54956.8). Nathan S. Krems, 587-647
East Foothill Boulevard, Azusa, Price and terms of payment.
Conference with Labor Negotiator (Gov. Code Sec. 54957.6), City Administrator re:
