CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
TUESDAY, MAY 26,1998 -6:30 P.M.
The City Council/Board members of the City of Azusa and the Redevelopment Agency met
in adjourned regular session at the above date and time in the Light and Water Conference
Room.
Mayor/Chairman Madrid called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: HARDISON, STANFORD, ROCHA, BEEBE,
MADRID
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
ALSO PRESENT:
City Attorney/General Counsel Carvalho, City Administrator/Executive Director Hsu, Water
Utility Manager Bowcock.

An item of subsequent need arose, and it was moved by Councilmember Beebe, seconded Item of subse-

Councilmember Beebe offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA OPPOSING Res. 98-C88
GOVERNOR WILSON'S PROPOSED CUT TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA Oppose cut
VEHICLE LICENSE FEE. VLF
Moved by Councilmember Beebe, seconded by Councilmember Hardison to waive further
reading and adopt. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: HARDISON, STANFORD, ROCHA, BEEBE,
MADRID
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
It was consensus of Councilmembers/Boardmembers to recess to Closed Session to discuss Closed Session
the following:
PUBLIC EMPLOYEE POSITION (Gov. Code Sec. 54957, City Administrator. (To
discuss the appointment of a City Administrator.
THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RECESSED TO Recess
CLOSED SESSION AT: 6:40 P.M.
THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RECONVENED Reconvened
AT: 9:49 P.M.
City Attorney/General Counsel Carvalho advised that there was no reportable action taken City Atty
in Closed Session. advised
It was consensus of Councilmembers/Boardmembers to adjourn. Adjourn
