The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular
adjourned session at 7:45 P.M.

Present at roll call Barnes, Robinson, Templin, Case,
The minutes of March 19th, 20th, 21st, and 27th 1917
were read and approved.
A communication was read from the Railroad Commission
regarding the five cent fare from Puente Largo Rock Crusher to
Azusa.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that Mr. Baker
make an appointment with Lir. Pontius of the Pacific Electric Co.
to meet a committee from the Board of Trustees. Motion carried.
Mr. T. H. Knapp was before the Board asking for a can-
cellation of some delinquent taxes on his property.
The agreement between the City and Byron & Jackson Iron
Works was read by the Clerk, regarding the purchase of a pump.
It was moved by Robinson seconded by Barnes that the
President and the Clerk be authorized to sign the agreement.

It was moved by Templin seconded by Case that the City
Attorney acting inconjanction with Mr. James P. Barker be inst-
ructed to draw up a contract providing for exchanging of the
City's 440 meter with Byron & Jackson IronwWorks ::or a. 50 H.P.
2200 meter. The City paying the difference in exchange on the
basis of new price of each motor, being approximately $127.90
to be paid by the City. Motion carried.
It was moved by Case seconded by Templin that Lir. Barker
be authorized to purchase one three (phase Graphic Watt meter
with current and potential transformers as described in their
communication of March 21st, 1917 to James B. ,Barker, submitted
herewith, at the stipulated _rrice of $194.25. Same to be ordered
by telegraph ht the expense,of. the City.

It was moved by Case seconded by Templin that the Clerk
notify the W; E. Iaapetsky Estate, Contract }rater Co., and the
Azusa Irrigating Co. that the :form of Contract with the City
is ready for them to sign that will be necessary to obtain
electric energy from the City for use in operating their respect-
ive wells. Notion carried.

ance be passed as read.

It was moved by Templin seconded by Robinson that the ordinance

establishing the rates to be charged for licenses be taken up for
the first reading. Motion carried.

The ordinance was read by the clerk.
It Was moved by Case seconded by Templin that the ordinance
be amended by adding a section imposing a license tax on Laundry
business of $15.00 per quarter for each vehicle. Motion carried.
It Was moved by Barnes seconded by Robinson that the
ordinance be declared read for the first time and laid over.
iMotion carried.
It Was moved by Darnes seconded by Robinson that the
matter of the encrouchraent on the Old Reservoir Site be referred
to the President of the Board of Trustees with the request that
he take the matter up with the parties in interest. Motion carried.
Trustee Case offerred a resolution had moved its admption
being "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUST30:S OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
IIIIIIII rpt PROVIDIIG FOR TIM TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS"
The resolution was read by. the Clerk and seconded by
Templin.

ing bills be allowed and -warrants draum on the Treasurer for. the
same.
