The Board of 'Trustees of the City of Azusq met in regula
session at 7:45 P.M.
Present at roll call: Barnes. Robinson, 'Templin, Case
Roach, City Atuorney ana City Clerk.

The Minutes of April 2nd and 3rd 1917 were read and
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Robinson that the
bids for the improvement of Eleventh Street be opened, examined
and publicly declared. Motion carried.

It was moved ay Case seconded by Templin that the City
order from the Westinghouse Electric & 'Mfg. Co. 6 rolls of "71
record paper to op used on the Graphic Meter.

It was moved by Baines seconded by Case that the Pre-
sident and City Cierk be authorized to enter into a contract
with the Trustees of the.W. E. Kjapitsky Estate to furnish Me-
tric Energy for the well.on the property of said Estate under
contract terminating September 30th, 1917 instead of at t„e time
stated in original draft of such contract. Mntion carried.

Mr. J. V. Sprovil wz�s before the Board asking that they
do something about the curb which was layed in front of her
place on Soldano Avenue.
It was moved byaCase seconded By Barnes that the City
Engineer look into this matter for yrs. Sprowl and report to
the Board. },lotion carried.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Robinson that the
Cleric notify the Santa Pe Ry Co. Tic,t they deeded the Ro-.dway
an Alameda Avenue across their right of way to this City and
we do not think'we shouid be required to pay five dollars
to cross same. aotion carried.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes ,that the res-
olution presented by Mr. Church and Hr. Jackson of Glendale,
being a Resolution requesting the Legislature to pass a law that
will enable the municipalities of the State of California to
levg a special tax not to exceed fifteen cents on the hundred
dollars asseased valuation, or to provide for larger expenditures
if such be needed for the purpose of;nequiping a Home Guard, by
Bond Issue. be adopted.

care of the Light and water Plants. Motion carvied.

ric Rotors incl to forward the contracts to Byron Jackson Iron
tilorics for their signature. Motion carried.

sident and Clerl: sign the agreement with the Westingnouse Elec-
tric & Mfg. Co. for the purchase of a 23ts4mi= watthour meters
