The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at 7:40 P.11.
Present at roll call Barnes, Robinson, Templin, Case, Road
City Attorneys and City Clerk.
The minutes of May 1st, 1917 were read and approved.
A communication was read from b', M. Steele regarding the
Messmer & Rice Account.
It was moved by Case seconded by Templin that the communi-
catioII be referred to the City Attorney with power to act.
Motion carried.
A communication was read from Vorest Ranger 6loan asking
that the City furnish a man this 3u_nner to patrol the lower
✓� end of San Gabriel Canyon on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the matter be
referred to the Sanitary and Police Committee to investigate
ao to securing lir. Lovelace for Saidays and Holidays, and re-
port next meeti,g. Motion carried.
Supt, ofrParks Sones was Defers the Board asking that some
signs be printed for the parR pronib.iting picking of flowers
etc.
It was ,coved by Case seconded by Templin that the matter
be referred to the Scnitary and Police Coi:mittee with power
to act. Motion. carried.
Trustee Templin offered a resolution being "A RESOLUTION

The Resolution was read.
It was moved by BL:rnes seconded by Robinson that the Resol-
trtion be adopted as read.

It was moved Uy Barnes seconded by Case that the City Att=
orney be instructed to prepare amendments to the C:'ater Ordi-
nance No. 178 providing that all water used over the first 2000
cubic feet during each calendar month be charged for at the
rate of 10 cents for each additional 1000 cubic feet or frac-
tion thereof and that taps be installed for actual cost for
labor and material plus 10 per cent but requiring deposit
with application in sn_lie amounts as specified in the present
ordinance. Motion carried.

It was moved by Barnes seconded by Robinson that Janes
Barker be authorized to purchase one 7,01 K. W. %ransformer at
an expense not exceeding sp85.05 F.O.B. Los Angeles,

It was moved by Case seconded by Templin that the follow-
ing Bills be allowed and warrants dram on the Tre:Lsurer for
the same. -

The resolution was read and seconded by Robinson.

The said Resolution being No. 513.
It was ;coved by Case seconded by Barnes that toe Public
~Q Works Co:mittee investigate the condition. of the Jail Doors
and report at the next meetin. Motion carried.
It was moved by Case seconded by Templin that the trees on
Saul Gabriel Ave. that should have oeen removed at the time of
the Uniform tree planting be removed at once. Motion carried.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the remoaei-
ing of toe work shop be ,referred ,to the Public Wort: Co;mnittee
to report next meeting. Motion carried.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Case that the meeting
