RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZU3A, CALIFORNIA, DE-
TERMININQ THE (3ENERAL PREVAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR LEGAL
HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID
CITY FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES
OF WORKMEN.
(Assessment District No. 1955-a)
WHEREAS, this City Council has by its Resolution
No. 3667 ordered certain work or improvement, said
work or improvement being more particularly described in its
resolution of intention, Resolution No. 3653, and shown on
plans (which include profiles and detailed drawingsj designated
"Plan No. 1955-8��, on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said city, and described in specifications designated "Specifi-
cations No. 1955-8��, also on file in the office of said City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general
prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said
work is to be performed for each craft or type of worirnian needed
to execute the contract for said work, and this City Council
has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal holiday
and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per
diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be per-
formed for each craft or type of worlanan needed to execute the
contract for said work is determined to be as follows, to wit:

All foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid not
less than 25 cents an hour more than the hourly rate of the high-
est classification over which he has supervision, Classifications
not listed will be in accordance with the general prevailing rate
of wages applicable to the work done.
PROVIDED, that one and one-half (1-1/2) times the said prevailin�
rate of wages shall be paid for any working time more than eight
(8) hours during any one (1) calendar day. Further provided, that
two (2) times the said prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for
any working time where such work is required in cases of extra-
ordinary emergencies caused by fire, flood, or danger to life or
property on Sundays and the seven (7) legal holidays, to-wit:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's
Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.
Section 2. Said general prevailing rates shall be specified
in the call for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
