HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3599RESOLUTION NO. 3599 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING HARRY C. WILLIAMS AS CITY ATTORNEY, FIXING HIS SALARY, AND PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR EXTRA EMPLOYMENT. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Harry C. Williams be, and he is hereby, appointed and retained as City Attorney of the City of Azusa effective �s April 1, 1956.', 1r.9 SECTION 2. That said appointee shall receive as compen- 3D9 ' "Al a retainer of $500.00 per month, payable monthly; provided, 193 however, that for services rendered by the City Attorney outside dY1JrationCounty municipalAngeles issues, andservices servicesrendered prepa- ration inactions in court, appearances and hearings before administrative boards, and in hearings before any of the boards or commissions of the State or County, or for proceedings initiated or undertaken under improve- ment acts, or other major services not included in his usual duties, the City Attorney shall be paid, in addition to the foregoing retainer, such compensation as shall be commensurate with the services rendered. SECTION 3. That the City Attorney shall not be deemed to be on regular duty, shall not be deemed to be within the classi- fied service of the City and shall not be deemed to be subject to the Employees' Retirement System, but that said retainer shall be deemed and considered as a professional retainer fee. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall deliver a certified copy thereof to said Harry C. Williams. 1957.
