HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3565RESOLUTION NO. 3565 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROVIDING FOR THE INVESTMENT OF SURPLUS MONEY IN THE TREASURY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that there is surplus money in the treasury of the City which is not required for the immediate necessities of the City in excess of the sum of $300,000, and that such funds, or some portion thereof, should be invested pursuant to the provisions of Sections 53,600 et seq, of the Government Code of the State of California. SECTION 2. That the City purchase out of said monies 91 -day United States Treasury Bills in the amount of $300,000 and that hereafter the City maintain an investment in said United States Treasury Bills so long as it has sufficient surplus funds, in an amount of not less than $50,000 nor more than $300,000. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
