HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 39620 RESOLUTION NO. 3962 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA URGING THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO EXPAND THE COUNTY HEALTH CENTER FACILITIES IN AZUSA. WHEREAS, the property now used as the County Health Center and known as the Vosberg Clinic on North Azusa Avenue in Azusa, was donated to the County for the use of the people of the Azusa area approximately twenty-five years ago, and WHEREAS, the population of said area and the health needs of the people have multiplied many fold during the intervening twenty- five years, and WHEREAS, said facility has not been enlarged or expanded during said period to keep pace with the growing needs of the popu- lation; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve that the Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and it is hereby respectfully requested and urged to provide for the immediate expansion of the County Health Center on North Azusa Avenue in the City of Azusa to adequately provide for the increased health needs of the people of the area which it serves. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. Adopted and approved this 16th day of November 1959.
