A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING AN INCREASE IN THE
SALARIES OF THE FIRE CHIEF AND ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF
AND THE COMPENSATION OF OTHER CITY EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 12th day of March, 1957, the following action was taken:
"It was further suggested that consideration be given to the
following salary adjustments: Salary of Fire Chief to be
increased to $350 per month, salary of Assistant Fire Chief to
be increased to $225 per month, Volunteer Captain increased to
$7.50 per fire call, Call men increased to $6.00 per fire call,
Reserve Police increased to $1.75 per hour.
Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded by Councilman Romero,
the suggested salary adjustments for Fire Chief, Assistant Fire
Chief, Volunteer Firemen, and Reserve Police be accepted and
Attorney instructed to prepare necessary resolution.', and
WHEREAS, through inadvertence or oversight the said resolu-
tion was never prepared or adopted, and
WHEREAS, the salaries so approved have been paid since said
date in reliance upon said action and upon the assumption that such
resolution had been prepared and adopted, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to remedy said procedural
defect retroactive to said 12th day of March, 1957;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The following salary and compensation adjustments
are hereby made and approved nunc pro tunc as of March 12, 1957, to -wit:
Salary of Fire Chief to be increased to $350 per month, salary of Assistant
Fire Chief to be increased to $225 per month, Volunteer Captain increased
to $7.50 per fire call, Call men increased to $6.00 per fire call, Reserve
Police increased to $1.75 per hour, with the same force and effect as if
this resolution had been adopted on said 12th day of March, 1957, and
subject to any subsequent change in said salary or compensation.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 27thday of October , 1959.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 27thday of October 1959, by the following
vote of the Council:
