HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 39450 0 RESOLUTION NO. 3945 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1959 The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising the sums of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property of the City of Azusa, as a revenue to carry on the various depart- ments of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1959, the rates for the different portions of said City are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property in the different portions of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1959, in the number of cents upon One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and with respect to certain property as assessed by the State Board of Equalization and equalized by said Board, and for the several funds and purposes set forth in the following table, the taxes levied upon Woperty in each portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by a district number being at -the rates set opposite the designation of the respective funds in the column headed by the district number which is prefixed to the description of such portion of said City as hereinafter stated, s TAXATION DISTRICT NO. 1 consisting of all that portion of the City of Azusa which was included within its original incorpora- tion, plus that certain territory known as the Paramount Tract, annexed to the City of Azusa by Resolution No. 533, adopted Febru- ary 18, 1918. TAXATION DISTRICT NO. 2 consisting of all that portion of the City of Azusa not included in Taxation District No. 1 above de- scribed and including all that territory annexed to the City of Azusa by the following annexation proceedings: Annexation of a portion of Lot 20, Subdivision 2, Azusa Land and Water Company, generally known as the American Cyanamid Company property, by Ordi- nance No. 451, effective August 25, 1952; Annexation of a portion of Lot 88, Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Company, known as the Lee School Annexation, by Ordinance No. 465, effective August 28, 1953; Easterly Annexation No. 4, effective July 21, 1955; Easterly Annexation No. 5 (Revised), effective August 5, 1955; Northerly Annexation No. 6, effective July 7, 1955; Southerly An- nexation No. 7, effective March 22, 1956; Easterly Annexation No. 10, effective January 3, 1956; Easterly Annexation No. 11, ef- fective August 3, 1956; Easterly Annexation No. 12 (Revised), ef- fective on or about January 17, 1957; Northerly Annexation District No. 15, effective November 15, 1956; Easterly Annexation No. 16, effective November 26, 1956; Southerly Annexation No. 23, effective August 21, 1957; Southerly Annexation District No. 25, effective November 8, 1957; Southerly Annexation District No. 26, effective November 8, 1957; Southerly Annexation District No. 27, effective February 24, 1958; Southerly Annexation District No. 28, effective February 24, 1958; Gladstone School Annexation No. 29, effective June 2, 1958; Easterly Annexation District No. 30, effective July 18, 1958; and Southerly Annexation District No. 31, effective November 24, 1958. Adopted by the Council of the City of Azusa on the 25th day of August, 1959.
