November 20th, 1917
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at 7:30 P.M.
Present_ at roll call Barnes, Robinson, Templin, Case, Roach
The nUnutes of November 6th, 1917 Nvere read and approved.

Mrs. Nordstrom and Mrs. Gertrude Root asked permission to re-
move street trees in front of their places.
It was moved by Case seconded by Barnes that the matter be
referred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Case seconded by Robinson that the ordinance
being "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS
WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA, EXCEPT FOR BONA FIDE MEDICAL PURPOSES
AND IN THE MANNER THEREIN PROVIDED AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 163 and NO. 171
OF SAID CITY,•AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH."
be taken up for the first reading. Motion carried.

be declared read the first time and taken up for the second reading

It was moved by Robinson seconded by Barnes that the ordinace
be declared read for the second time and laid over until next
meeting. Motion carried.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Templin that the ordinance
being "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HOLDING MEETINGS
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINlA:CE IS CONFLICT THEREWITH." be taken
up for the second reading. Motion carried.

reading and put upon its final passage. Motion carried.

The above ordinance is No. 189
It Was moved by Templin seconded by Robinson that the Super-
intendent of Water & Light be authorized to bill the Contract Water
Co. for power used in November,. 1917 at 2 cents per K.W.H. upon
condition that a new contract is executed satisfactorily to the
City.

It was moved by Case .seconded by Barnes that Consulting Elec-
trical Engineer Barker be authorized to draft a modification of the
proposed contract between the City of,Azusa and the Contract Water
Co, reducing the minimum charge to $500.00 per annum and the City
agreeing to make future ileductiona of rate corresponding to any
similar reduction to any conswner of same class. Motion carried.

be allowed to purchase 20 five amp, and 1 20 amp electric meters.

light be authorized to send in the old transformers on hand and
report the allowance offered by the Company and also that he be
allowed to purchase 2-1, 2-3, and 2-5 Killi-volt Amphe.res.

Light be allowed to purchase 150 lbs of No.8 and 2001bs of No.6
copper wire.
