A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA MAKING APPLICATION TO THE SECRETARY
OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF THE UNITED
STATES FOR A SEWER,
WHEREAS, certain real property owned by the United States
consisting of
That certain Sanitary Sewer known as the Owl 4X
line and all physical facilities of said line
as it extends through various streets, right-
of-ways and easements from its connection at
the County of Los Angeles Sanitation District
No. 22 Coney Avenue Trunk at stat_on 984 82 of
said line as to its effluent end at the said
Sanitation Districts (MWD) Salt tater waste
line at station -0*4 .75 of said line
located in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, has
been declared surplus and subject to disposal for public health
purposes by the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under
the rules of Federal Property Administrative Services Act of 1949,
as amended, and the Rules and Regulations promulgated pursuant
thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa needs said property, and can
utilize the same for public health purposes in accordance with
the requirement of said act, and the rules and regulations pro-
mulgated thereunder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Azusa shall
make application to the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare
for the title to the above mentioned property for public health
use, upon and subject to, such exemptions, reservations, terms,
covenants, agreements and restrictions as the Secretary of Health,
Education and Welfare, or his authorized representatives, may re-
quire in connection with the disposal of said property under said
act, and the Rules and Regulations issued pursuant thereto; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City of
Azusa is hereby authorized for, and on behalf of the City of Azusa
to do and perform any and all acts and things which may be neces-
sary to carry out the foregoing resolution, including the prepar-
ation, making and filing of plans, applications, reports, and
other documents including the representation commitments regarding
the use and time when such use shall commence; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the execution, acceptance and
delivery and recordation of agreements, deeds and other instruments
Pertaining to the transference of said property, and the paying of
any and all sums necessary on account of purchase price thereof, or
„n account of fees or costs incurred in connection with the trans-
fer of said property for surveys,title search, appraisals, record-
ation of instruments or escrow costs, shall be subject to the
approval of the City Council; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified
copy to the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare of the
United States.

meeting thereof held on the 1st day of June, 1959, by the follow-
