HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3862F, 0 RESOLUTION NO. 3862 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA GRANTING A VARIANCE TO THE GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine that application was properly made for the following variance pursuant to Section 9231.21 of Ordinance No. 535, that a hearing thereon was duly held by the Planning Commission after proper legal notice and the Planning Commission denied said application, that appeal was properly taken to the City Council, that the City Council has held a public hearing thereon after proper legal notice thereof, and that facts exist justifying and warranting the said variance under the terms of Section 9231.26 of said ordinance. SECTION 2. A variance from the off-street parking require- ments of Ordinance No. 535 is hereby granted to the General Telephone Company with respect to the following described property in the City of Azusa, to -wit: Lots 27, 28, 29, andthe North 15 feet of Lot 30, Block 36, Map of Azusa, and referred to as 606 North Azusa Avenue. SECTION 3. Said variance is granted upon the following express conditions, the violation of any of which shall be cause for the termination of said variance by the City Council: 1. That there be maintained upon said premises off-street parking space for at least fourteen automobiles with adequate means of ingress and egress. 2. That no enlargement of the existing structure upon said premises be made other than a second -story addition of approximately 1800 square feet of floor space. 3. That the existing structure upon said premises be remodeled and improved according to the designs and architect's render- ings submitted to the City Council on February 16, 1959 and that said work be completed before December 31, 1959. 4. That said premises be used only for the purposes set forth in the application and in the testimony of applicant and that no substantial change of use be made or permitted. 5. That there shall not be more than ten persons employed by applicant regularly working upon the premises at any given time. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the applicant.
