HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3737RESOLUTION NO. 3737 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS IN TRACTS NOS. 179391 16435, 16384, 20494 AND 18102, DECLARING THAT THE PROJECT CAN BE PERFORMED MORE ECONOMICALLY BY DAY LABOR, AND ORDERING THE PROJECT DONE IN THE MANNER STATED. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa did duly advertise for bids for the installation of street lights in Tracts Nos. 17939, 16435, 16384, 20494 and 18102, and WHEREAS, the City Council did in open session on the 17th day of March, 1958, publicly examine and declare all sealed proposals for the installation of street lights in Tracts Nos. 17939, 164352 16384, 20494 and 18102, and WHEREAS, said bids have been duly considered; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: SECTION 1. That all bids received pursuant to notice duly published for the installation of street lights in Tracts Nos. 17939, 16435, 16384, 20494 and 18102, as aforesaid, be and the same are hereby rejected. SECTION 2. That the City Council does hereby find, declare and determine that the said project can be performed more economically by day labor and that the City proceed with said project in the manner stated. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Adopted and approved this 7th day of April , 1958. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of April , 1958, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Fawcett, Ortuno, Romero, Memmesheimer NOES: Councilmen: Johnson ABSENT:Councilmen: None
