RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVID-
ING FOR THE GENERAL 14UNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF APRIL, 19.0.
WHEREAS, Section 36503 of the Government Code requires
that a general municipal election be held in general law cities
on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered year;
NOW9 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa,
California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That said general municipal election be held
and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Azusa on
April 8, 19.L8.
Section 2. That the polls for said election shall be
opened at seven o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall
,remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P.M.
of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as pro-
vided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said general
municipal election there shall be and are hereby established
eleven (11) voting precincts designated as hereinafter stated&
Mach such voting precinct shall consist of either regular election
precincts in the City of Azusa (of the names and numbers herein-
after stated) established for the holding of State and County
elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of
adoption of this resolution or a consolidation of some or all of
such precincts. That the polling places for the respective pre-
cincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the
persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors
and residents of said city and of their respective voting precincts,
are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective
voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return
thereof in the manner provided by law.

Section 4% That except as otherwise provided in this
resolution, the election galled hereby shall be held and con-
ducted as provided by Chapter 20 Part 29 Division 11 of the
Elections Code, and in all respects not otherwise provided for
in said Chapter, said election shall be held and conducted in
accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing
elections generally, so far as they may be applicable.
Section 5. That the compenoation which shall be paid
to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner
as rental for each polling place is as follows:

Section 6. That the City Council of said city shall
meet at its usual place of meeting on April, 19_55 at 7QO
otclock P.M., of said day, and proceed to canvass the election
returns and declare the result of said election.
Section 7.. That the City Clerk shall give the notices
required by law for the holding of said general municipal election.
Section 8. This resolution shall take effect upon its
adoption.
