HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3723?,SOLUTION Noe 3723 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVID- ING FOR THE GENERAL 14UNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF APRIL, 19.0. WHEREAS, Section 36503 of the Government Code requires that a general municipal election be held in general law cities on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered year; NOW9 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa, California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That said general municipal election be held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Azusa on April 8, 19.L8. Section 2. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall ,remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P.M. of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as pro- vided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of Cali- fornia. Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said general municipal election there shall be and are hereby established eleven (11) voting precincts designated as hereinafter stated& Mach such voting precinct shall consist of either regular election precincts in the City of Azusa (of the names and numbers herein- after stated) established for the holding of State and County elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution or a consolidation of some or all of such precincts. That the polling places for the respective pre- cincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said city and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law. Section 5.
