HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 40920 RESOLUTION N0. 4092 11 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING APPROVAL OF DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE RESTRICTING PARKING UPON PORTIONS OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD, AZUSA AVENUE AND SAN GABRIEL AVENUE. WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt an ordinance, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, amending Section 3200.44 of the Azusa Municipal Code to restrict parking on portions of Foothill Boulevard, Azusa Avenue and San Gabriel Avenue, and WHEREAS, said parking restrictions are deemed to be neces- sary and desirable in order to provide access to local businesses along said streets, to relieve vehicular congestion and to make it possible to sweep said streets at night, and WHEREAS, the said portions of said streets are State highways and Section 3200.69 of the Azusa Municipal Code provides that any such amendment shall not be effective until approved by the Department of Public Works; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works of the State of California be and it is hereby requested to approve in writing the said proposed ordinance. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and transmit a certified copy thereof to the said Department of Public Works. Adopted and approved this 19th day of Septamher , 1960.
