HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 40590 0 RESOLUTION N0. 4059 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA NAMING, DESIGNATING AND ESTABLISHING PIONEER PARK. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That certain property known as the "Gum Grove" acquired by the City of Azusa from Azusa Foot -Hill Citrus Company more particularly described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this resolution, is hereby named, designated and established as Pioneer Park. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit certified copies thereof to the Board of Supervisors and to the County Engineer of the County of Los Angeles. Adopted and approved this 20th day of June , 1960. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20ti day of June , 19602 by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Paul, McLees, Johnson, Teasley, Ortuno NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None EXHIBIT A Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 78 of Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Company, as shown on map of Tract No. 627 in said city, county and state, recorded in book 15page 105 of Maps, in the office of the county recorder of said county; thence South 00 09' 00" West along the westerly line of said Lot 78, a distance of 401.17 feet; thence North 890 51' 00" East, at right angles to said westerly line, a distance of 384.15 feet to a point in a curve concave westerly having a radius of 32 f8et, a radial line of said curve to said point bears South 61 51' 00" East; Thence northerly along said curve an arc distance of 27.93 feet tolthe beginning of a reverse curve having a radius of 82 feet; thence northerly along said last mentioned curve, an arc distance of 14.79 feet to the beginning of a compound curve concave easterly having a radius of 130 feet; thence northerly along said last mentioned curve, an arc distance of 37.06 feet to the beginning of a compound curve concave southeasterly having a radius of 30 feet; thence northeasterly along said last mentioned curve, an are distance of 25.66 feet; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve, North 530 49' 00" East 16 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northwesterly having a radius of 90 feet; thence northeasterly along said last mentioned curve an are distance of 46.60 feet to the beginning of a compound curve concave westerly and having a radius of 40 feet; thence northerly along said last mentioned curve., an are distanee.of 16.17 feet to a point, a radial line of said last mentioned curve to said last mentioned point bears South 890 oil 00" East; thence North 81 11' 17" East 14.733 feet thence North 430 43' 20" East 105.30 flet; thence North 39a 20' 39" East 51.71 feet; thence North 14 44' 36" East 117.12 feet; thence north 17 feet to a point in a curve concave northerly having a radius of 230 feet, said last mentioned curve being concentric with and 30 feet southerly, measured radially from that certain curve, described in the deed to the County of Los Angeles (registered on February 21,1928 as Document No. 138657 entered on Certificate No. EH - 44708 on file in the office of the county recorder of said county), as being concave northerly having a radius of 200 feet and an arc length of 122.17 feet, a radial line of said last mentioned curve to said last mentioned point bears South 119 45' 40" East; thence westerly along said last mentioned curve, an are distance of 43.26 feet; thence North 00 59' 00" West along a radial line of said last mentioned curve, a distance of 5 feet to the easterly prolongation of the southerly line of Sierra Madre Avenue, 50 feet wide, as shown on said map of Tract No. 627; thence South 890 O1' 00" West along said Sierra Madre Avenue 542.92 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
