HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 40460 0 RESOLUTION NO. 4046 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WATER LINES ON INDUSTRIAL STREET AND GEORGIA PLACE, DECLARING THAT THE PROJECT CAN BE PREFORMED MORE ECONOMICALLY BY DAY LABOR AND THE MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES FURNISHED AT A LOWER PRICE IN THE OPEN MARKET, AND ORDERING THE PROJECT DONE IN THE MANNER STATED. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine that notice inviting bids for the installation of waterlines on portions of Industrial Street and Georgia Place was duly published on April 28, 1960, and May 5, 1960,- that bids therefor were duly received, opened and declared, and that the same have been duly considered by the City Council. SECTION 2. That all of said bids be, and they are hereby, rejected. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare that said project can be performed more economically by day labor and the materials and supplies therefor furnished at a lower price in the open market. SECTION 4. That said project be done by day labor and the materials and supplies therefor purchased in the open market without further compliance with Chapter 6 of Division 3. Title 4 of the Govern- ment Code of the State of California. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Adopted and approved this 16th day of May, 1960. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of May, 1960, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Paul, McLees, Johnson, Teasley, Ortuno NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT:Councilmen: None City Clerk
