HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4247RES DLUTION NO. 4247 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING A "RED NO PARKING" ZONE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD BEGINNING APPROXI- MATELY AT THE EAST LINE OF VERNON AVENUE AND EXTEND- ING EASTERLY APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Council of the City of Azusa pursuant to Section 3200.33 of the Azusa Municipal Code, hereby finds that the public health safety and welfare will best be protected by the establishment of a "Red No Parking" zone on the south side of Foothill Boulevard beginning at the east line of Vernon Avenue and extending easterly 60 feet thereof within the corporate limits of the City of Azusa. SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby establish and declare said area set forth in Section I of this Resolution as a "Red No Parking" zone. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall not become effective until said zones are painted in accordance with State law in order to carry out the purposes of this Resolution. In addition, this Resolution shall not become effective until the some has been approved in writing by the Department of Public Works of the Slate of Cali- fornia. The City Engineer is directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Department of Public Works for action thereon. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall cease to be operative six months after receipt by the City Council of written notice of withdrawal of approval of the Department of Public Works.
