RESOLUTION NO. 4315
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4131 BY ADDING
THERETO A JOB CLASSIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR
GENERAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE MAN.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Resolution No. 4131, adopted
January 3, 19612 is hereby amended by the addition to the classification
schedules attached thereto of that certain classification schedule for
General Building Maintenance Man which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit
A. and hereby made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 5th day of March , 1962.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 5th day of March , 1962, by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Paul, Mc Lees, Johnson, Teasley, Ortuno
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Counoilmen: None

GENERAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE MAN
DEFINITION:
Under direction, to perform a variety of maintenance tasks requiring
training, initiative and inxlependent judgment in such building trades
as electrical, carpentering and plumbing.
TYPICAL TASKS:
The installation or moving of lighting fixtures; checking and making
minor repair to air conditioning equipment, installation or minor repair
of electric motors; repair fixtures; hanging doors, repair desks and
cabinets; the repair of miscellaneous mechanical apparatus. Uses all
types of repair and maintenance equipment.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Training and experience shall include graduation from high school and
two years of combined building maintenance experience consisting of
electrical, plumbing and carpentering. Some ability to read blue-
prints, ability to understand and carry out verbal or written instruction;
mechanical aptitude; knowledge of tools and equipment used in the
performance of required tasks; ability to maintain effective working
relationship with others.
