A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF
ROOSEVELT STREET AND RESERVING AND EXCEPTING IN FAVOR
11153 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CERTAIN BASEMENTS LOCATED THEREIN
FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 6th day of August, 1962, at a regular meet-
ing of said Council Resolution No. 4388 duly was adopted by a
unanimous vote of said Council setting the time for hearing on
the proposed vacation of a certain portion of Roosevelt Street
located within the City of Azusa; •
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more particularly
described as follows:
All that portion of Roosevelt Street the City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
lying west of the westerly line of Motor Avenue in
said City of Azusa, being that part of said Roosevelt
Street conveyed to said City by quitclaim deed recorded
in Book 48612, Page 35-3; of Official Records on file in
the office of the Recorder of said County;
RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said vacation the permanent
easement and right, at any time, or from time to time,
to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew
and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
gas pipe lines, and for the transportation or distri-
bution of water.
(c) That on the 4th day of September, 1962, at a regular
Council meeting the said City Council did hold a public hearing
to determine whether the said area above-described should be
vacated as a public street.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and declared by
the City Council of the City of Azusa, after listening to the
evidence adduced and considering staff reports pertinent thereto,
that the above-described area of Roosevelt Street within the City
of Azusa is not necessary for present or prospective public street

purposes and the general welfare and convenience of the City of
Azusa require that the same be vacated. The said area of
Roosevelt Street above-described hereby is vacated as a public
street, excepting the easement as described above.
SECTION 3• The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
-�% this resolution and cause the same to be recorded with the office
of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and to file all other
necessary documents in order that this vacation become effective.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of September , 1962.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution duly was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 4th day of September , 19622 by the follow-
ing vote of the Council:

NOES: Councilmen: None
