HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4365RESOLUTION NO. 4365 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PETITIONING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO CONSENT TO THE PROPOSED RELOCATION AND CORRECTION OF A PORTION OF THE EASTERLY BOUNDARY LINE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find and determine: (a) That a portion of the easterly boundary line of the City of Azusa, being a part of Easterly Annexation District No. 39 and described as "thence southerly (from the northeast corner of Lot 87 of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Company) 1,083.89 feet along the said easterly line of Lot 87 and prolongation thereof to its intersection with the easterly prolongation of the centerline of said Foothill Boulevard" is indefinite as,to its exact location; (b) That said indefiniteness results from a strip of land lying along said easterly boundary of said Lot 87 and marked "No Road", it not being clear whether or not said strip is included within said boundary; (c) ,That said portion of said boundary should be corrected as follows: - "The boundary of the City of Azusa, as same existed on April 2, 1962, along the easterly line, and its southerly prolongation, of Lot 87 of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Co., as shown on map recorded in Book 43, page 94 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, lying between the southerly right of way line of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway and the center line of Foothill Boulevard, is hereby relocated so as to include within the City of Azusa that certain strip of land lying along said boundary and marked 'No Road' on said map; and said boundary hereby relocated is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly right of way line of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway, -being also the northerly line of Lot 87 of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Co., as shown on map recorded in Book 43, page 94 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, with the easterly line of said Lot 87; thence easterly along said southerly right of way line, being also the northerly line of that certain strip of land lying along the easterly line of said Lot 87 and marked 'No Roads on said map a distance of 40 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of said certain strip of land; thence southerly along the easterly line of said certain strip of land to the easterly prolongation of the southerly line of said Lot 87, said easterly prolongation being also the northerly line of Foothill Boulevard, 100 feet wide; thence southerly in a direct line to the most northerly northeasterly corner of 'Easterly Annexation District No. 44, to the City of Azusa, as described in Ordinance No. 705 of said city." (d) That said correction set forth in (c) above has been submitted to and reported upon and approved by the Boundary Commission of the County of Los Angeles; (e) Said proposed corrected line conforms as nearly as practicable with the former line and does not affect the division of any parcel of property. -1- I 0 SECTION'2. The Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is hereby respectfully petitioned to consent to the said correction or relocation proposed as set forth in Section 1 above, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50195 of the Government Code. SECTION 3• The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. Adopted and approved this 18th day of June , 1962.
