HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4467f RESOLUTION NO. 4467 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING REVEREND BENJAMIN J. PAROULEK. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Reverend Benjamin J. Paroulek, because of the great demands on his time and energy as a noted spiritual leader in our community, has found it necessary to resign his membership in this City's Park and Recreation Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted his resignation with regret and a keen sense of loss; and WHEREAS, the City Council is deeply mindful of the special value of Reverend Paroulek's long service on the Park and Recreation Commission - a value compounded of his devotion to ideals and his unique sense of the practical; and WHEREAS, it seems most appropriate that recognition be accorded his tireless work in serving our people in so many phases of community life, especially with respect to the welfare of youth in these difficult times; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Azusa, while realizing that no words can adequately match the value of the services rendered, extends its sincere gratitude to Reverend Benjamin J. Paroulek as an expression of the feeling of all of the people of this community; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and transmit a certified copy thereof to Reverend Paroulek. ADOPTED AND APPROVED -this 1st day of April, 1963. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of April, 1963, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Cooney, McLees, Ortuno NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Jackson
