A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA APPLYING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE FOR
AN ESTIMATE OF THE INCREASE IN POPULATION OF THE
CITY AND AUTHORIZING*THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH SAID DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, it is provided in Section 194.2, Streets and
Highways Code, that any city or city and county whose population
has increased substantially since the last Federal Census may
apply to the Department of Finance to estimate the increase in
population; and
WHEREAS, the population of the City of Azusa has increased
substantially since the last Federal Census; and
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa desires to have the Department
of Finance estimate the increase in population of the City and the
Department of Finance is willing to make such estimation, provided
adequate information is available upon which to base the estimate;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Azusa does hereby apply to
the Department of Finance to estimate the increase in population
of said City since the last Federal Census,
SECTION 2. That certain proposed agreement between the
Department of Finance &.nd the City of Azusa for such an estimate of
the increase in population is hereby approved and the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on
behalf of the City.
SECTION 3. That the City provide to the Department of
Finance such data as may be required by the Department pursuant
to the terms of said agreement.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and transmit a certified copy thereof
to the Department of Finance.
Adopted and approved this 16th day of December 1963.

meeting thereof held on the 16th day of December 1963, by
