A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CALL
ANNEXATION ELECTION,.AND FIXING A TIME
FOR PROTESTS BY.PROPERTY OWNERS
THE CITY OF
A SPECIAL
AND PLACE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa:
1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Azusa to call a special election to be held in certain
inhabited territory contiguous to said City, proposed to be annexed
thereto, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors
residing in said territory the question whether or not said terri-
tory shall be annexed to the City of Azusa.
Said territory is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly
boundary of the City of Azusa along Gladstone Street)
as same existed on July 30, 19 3, with the northerly _
prolongation of the west line of the east 1/2 of the
northeast 1/4 of the southeast 1/4 of Section 4, Town-
ship 1 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.M., said point of
beginning also being an angle point in the boundary of
the City of Azusa as it existed on July 30, 1963;
thence S 10061 02" W along said prolongation and west
line and the southerly prolongation thereof (said
southerly prolongation also being on the bounds of the
City of Irwindale as it existed on July 30, 1963 2030.04
feet to an angle point in said boundary of the City of
Irwindale; thence continuing along said last mentioned
boundary N 89054130" W 330.00 feet to another angle
point of said last mentioned boundary; thence continuing
along said last mentioned boundary N 1006102" E 2030.04
feet to said southerly boundary of the City of Azusa;
thence S 89°54130" E along said southerly boundary of
'the City of Azusa.330.00 feet to the point of beginning.
2. That said territory hereby is designated and
identified as "Southerly Annexation District. No. 52."
3. Notice hereby is given that on the 17th day of
February, 1964, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chamber
of the City Hall of the City of Azusa, any person owning real
property within said territory so proposed to be annexed and
having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before
said City Council and show cause why such territory should not
be annexed. Such protest must be in writing and shall state the
name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected by
such annexation and the location and area of such property in
general terms. If it be found that protest is not made by pfiblic
and private owners equal to one-half of the value of the territory
further proceedings shall be taken in accordance with the law for
the holding of such special election.
4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and cause the same to be published in the Azusa
Herald and Pomotropic once a week for the two weeks prior to the
hearing.

adopted by.the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 20th day of January,,1964, by the following
vote of the Council:

NOES: Councilmeni None
