RESOLUTION N0, 4587
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT
OF EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY
TO ERECT, ALTER, AND MAINTAIN ELECTRICAL POLES,
LINES, AND APPURTENANCES NECESSARY TO SUPPLY
ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO NEW SUB -STATION IN CITY YARD.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa
does hereby find and determine that the public convenience and
necessity require that Southern California Edison Company be
granted the easement hereinafter described.
SECTION 2, The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and instructed to execute on behalf of the City of
Azusa a Grant of Easement to Southern California Edison Company
in the form submitted to the City Council conveying to Southern
California Edison Company the right to erect, alter, and maintain
electrical poles, lines, and appurtenances for conveying electric
energy for'the exclusive purpose of serving the City upon certain
property owned by the City and described as follows:
PARCEL 1:
The Easterly seventeen (17) feet of Lots 13,
14, 15, 16, 17, and the Easterly seventeen (17) feet
of the Northerly ten (10) feet of Lot 18, of Block 23,
of Azusa as per map recorded in Book 15, pages 93 to
96, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Records, in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
State of California.
PARCEL 2:
A strip of land, fifteen (15) feet wide, lying
within a portion of Lot 68 of Subdivision No. 2 of
the Azusa Land and Water Company, as per map recorded
in Book 43, page 94, of Miscellaneous Records, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County of Los
Angeles, and a portion of Lots 16, 17 and 18 of Block 23,
of Azusa, as per map recorded in Book 15, pages 93 to 96,
inclusive, of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the
County Recorder of said Los Angeles County, the center
line of said strip of land is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Westerly prolongation
of the Northerly line of Lot 13 of said Block 23, of
Azusa, said point being 25 feet Westerly, measured along
said Westerly prolongation, from the Northwest corner of
said Lot 13; thence Southerly in a direct line, to a point
that is 15 feet Westerly and 125 feet Southerly, measured
at right angles from the Northwest corner of said Lot 13,
said last mentioned point being hereinafter referred to
as Point "A"; thence Southeasterly in a direct line, to
a point that is 10 feet Southerly and 13 feet Easterly,
measured at right angles from the Northwest corner of
said Lot 18 of Block 23, City of Azusa.
The side lines of said strip of land,
15 feet wide, shall be prolonged or shortened so
as to terminate in the Westerly prolongation of
the Northerly line of said Lot 13 and in a line
that is parallel with and 10 feet Southerly,
measured at right angles, from the Northerly line
of said Lot 18.
A strip of land, two (2) feet wide, the
center line of said strip of land being described
as follows:
BeWinning at the hereinbefore referred to
Point "A ; thence Westerly 35 feet. ,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion of said last
mentioned strip of land lying within the strip of
land hereinbefore described and designated as Parcel 2,
SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 6th day of January, 1964.
