A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL -OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN
PORTION OF GLADSTONE STREET.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon
recommendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its
intention to vacate a certain portion of Gladstone Street in the City of
Azusa as shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk
to which reference is made for further particulars, described as follows:
That certain area in the City of Azusa, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, being a portion of a public
street, as dedicated by Tract No. 19809 as per map recorded
in Book 520, pages 34 to 40 inclusive, in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State
of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Citrus Avenue,
80 feet wide, and Gladstone Street, 80 feet wide; thence
North 89° 56, 40" West along the centerline of Gladstone
Street, 162.49 feet; thence North 0° 031 20" East 40.00
feet to the true point of beginning for this description;
thence North 10 241 00" East 60.00 feet to a curve concave
to the Southwest, having a radius of 40.00 feet, through
a central angle of 88° 391 20" a distance of 61.89 feet;
thence along a line having a bearing of North 00 031 20"
East 20.00 feet to the Northerly line of Gladstone Street;
thence North 890 56, 40" West 40.00 feet to the true point
of beginning for this description.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street under the
provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
3rd day of February, 1964, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is
hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 4. Notices of Street Vacation shall be posted by
the Street Superintendant in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen
days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Azusa.
Adopted and approved this 6th day of January , 1964.
