HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4768RESOLUTION NO. 4768 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF WRITTEN CONSENT OF AT LEAST TWO-THIRDS OF REAL PROPERTY OWNERS, AND CONSENTING TO THE DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY FROM THE CITY OF AZUSA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF DUARTE. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby acknowledge receipt of the written consent of at least two-thirds of the owners of real property within the uninhabited territory, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference, holding at least two-thirds in value of the real property in said territory, consenting to the detachment of . said territoty from the City of Azusa for the purpose of the annexation thereof to the City of Duarte. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby consent to the detachment from the City of Azusa, for the purpose of annexation to the City of Duarte, pursuant to Section 35304 of the Government Code of the State of California, of the territory described in said Exhibit "A" attached hereto. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption, of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the City Council of the City of Duarte. Adopted and approved this _21 day of December , 196 4. yo I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21 day of December , 196, by the following votethe Council: AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Memmesheimer NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None Revised Legal Description for tie -annexation by the City of Azusa and annexation by the City of Duarte All that property in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in that certain course in the centerline of Fish Canyon Road, described in the Final Judgment (as'to Tract 18) in Case No. 2715 -Pin Civil, in the District Court of the United States, in and for the Southern District of California, Central Division, as having a bearing of North 230 38' 57" bast and a length of 991.17 feet, dis- tant thereon North 23° 38' 57" East 430.03 feet from the southwesterly terminus of said course, 'said point being in the common boundary be- tween said City of Azusa and the City of Duarte, said County and State; thence continuing along said common boundary, North 23° 38' 57" East 561.14 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve concave southeasterly anti having a radius of 1200 feet; thence northeasterly along said last mentioned curve through a central angle of 14° 14' 21", an arc distance of 298.22 feet, to an angle point in the westerly boundary of the land described in an easement granted by the United States of America to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, recorded in Book D-1251, page 650, of Official Records of said County, a radial line of said curve to said point bears North 520 06' 42" West; thence leaving said common boundary and said centerline, and along said westerly boundary, South 58° 27' 41" East 26.85 feet; thence South 45° 44' 20" East 79.91 feet; thence South 120 07' 34" Fast 19.42 feet; thence South 3S° OH' 22" West 625.56 feet to the southeasterly line of said Fish Canyon Road; thence along said southeasterly line, South 23° 38' 57" West 119.46 feet; thence leaving said southeasterly line, South 41° 48' 23" hIest 76.53 feet to the beginning of a tangent c-urve concave southeasterly and having a radius of'S2S feet; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 0° 24' 1811, a distance of 3.72 feet to the point of beginning.
