Gentlemen: -
I hereby recommend that the City of Azusa make the
additions, changes and alterations in the contract between
said City and the B. R. Davisson Contracting Company for the
improvement of Azusa Avenue and Centre Street set forth in the
attached form of agreement providing for the same, and reeemmend
the adoption by your honorable Board of the resolutions author.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do

resolve as follows:

That whereas the said City of Azusa entered into

a certain contract with the B. R. Davisson Contracting Co m.

pany, dated January 20, 1911, providing for the improvement

limits in said City of Azusa; and whereas said City of Azusa

reserved in said contract the right to make changes in said.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees

of the City of Azusa that said changes,slterations and additions

to said work recommended by said City Engineer be,and the same

are hereby ratified and approved, and that the President of the

Board of Trustees be, and he is hereby authorized and instructed

to execute said supplementary contract on behalf of said City
23
of Azusa and the City Clerk shall attest the same in the name
24
and on behalf of said City of Azusa,

1 THIS MFORANDUM OF AGRKMMNT made this
2 day of August, 1911, between the CITY OF AZUSA, a municipal
3 corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the
4 State of California, party of the first part, and the B. R.
6 DAYISSON CONTRACTING COLTANY, a corporation duly organized
6 and existing under.the laws of the State of California, party
7 of the second part.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, as supplementary to said original
26 contract, and in pursuance to the terms thereof aIbwing
26 changes in said work described therein, as above stated, and
27 in consideration of the payments and covenants hereinafter
mentioned, to be made and performed by said party of the first
28
29 pest, the said party of the second part hereby agrees to make
the following changes in said contract, it being matually un -

derstood that said original contract shall remain in full force

and effect he to all the terms thereof except as are expressly
32 modified hereby, which said changes are as follows, to wit:

WITNESSETH THAT WHEREAS the said party of the first

part entered into a certain contract, dated January 20th,

A light coating of rock screenings, one-fourth inch

sorb all surplus oil and produce a uniform surface with no oil
exposed and no patches of excess screening or sand. The pave-

hard and smooth true to grade and cross-section, free from all

at the agreed price of $31.70.
Also that 5 - 8" culverts erected on Centre Street or
anally provided for in said plans shall be constructed of 14"
in size instead of 8" in size at an additional cost of $25.00
Per culvert amounting to $125.00.
Also that 2 - 8 " culverts originally provided for in
said plans shall be ohanged.to 14" culverts with wooden intakes
at an additional cost of $35.00 per culvert, amounting to $70.00
Also that one culvert on the West side of the inter-
section of Azusa Avenue and Centre Street shall be widened from
2 ft. 6 in. to 3 ft. at an additional cost of $28.80.
Also that the culvert provided for on the West side of
Azusa Avenue between Centre'Street and the Santa Fe Railway

That all of said culverts shall be constructed in
accordance with the original plans and specifications except in
these particulars above specified,
It is further agreed and particularly understood. that
said party of the first part will pay and allow said party of
the second part for said additions and changes in said work
above speeifidd the respective amounts thereof above set ferth f

payable in accordance with the terms of said original contract
