A RESOLUTION OF THE BOAP.D OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE'A PORTION OF
ALAREDA AVENUE
THE Board of 'Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve
asfollows;
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
• of the City of Azusa,State of Califotnia,to order the
following street work to be done in said City, to -wit;
First. That a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in
width, be constructed along each dide of said Alemeda Ave-
nudafrom the north curb line of First Street to the Sputh-
erly line of the right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka,
and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast lines) (excepting
along such portions of said Alameda Avenue upon which a
cement sidewalk, Five (5) feet in width, has already been
constructed to the ofricial line and gradef). , said
sidewalk to be constructed according to specifications
for the construction of cement sidewalks on file in the
• office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, said
specifications being numbered Special Specifications "B"
and in accordance with plans; profiles and cross-sections
Nos. B9 and B10 on file in the office of the City Engineer
of the City of AZuDa,
Second: That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width
be constructed along each sidd of said Alameda Avenue from
the Northerly line of the Atchison , Topekaand Santa Fe
Railway Company (Coast Lines, to the south curb line
of Eleventh Street,(excepting along such portions of said
Alameda Avenue upon which a cement sidewalk ,.five (5)
feet in width, has already been constructed to the official
• line and grade), said sidewalk to be constructed according
to specifications for the construction of cement sidewalks
on file in the offive of the City Clerk of the City of

Azusa, said specifications being numbered Special •
Specifications"B" and in accordance with plans and
cross-sections Nos. B9 and B10 on file in the office of the
office of the City Ehgineer of the City of Azmsa.
Third. That a cement curb be constructed along
each side of said Alameda Avenue from the North curb
line of First Street to the southerly line of the
right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka , and Santa Fe
Railway Company (Coast Lines), (excepting along such por-
tions of said Alameda Avenue upon which a cement curb
has already been constructed to the offi.d.iaV.ldneaand
grade), in accordance with the specifications for the
construction of cement curbs on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, said specifications •
being numbered Special Specifications"A" , and in ac-
cordance with plans', profiles and cross -sections
Nos. B9 and B 10 on file in the office of the City`Engineer•
of the City of Azusa.
Fourth. That a cement curb be constructed along
each side of'eaid Alameda Avehue from the northerly
lime of the Rights of- way of the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast lines), to the
southcurb line of Eleventh. Street, (excepting along
such portions of said Alameda Avenue upon which a ce-
mend curb has already been constructed to the official
line, and grade), in accordance with the specifications •
for the construction of cement curbs in file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, said
Specifications being numbered Specifications"A" , and
in accordance with plans, profiles, and cross-sections
Nos. 39 and B10 on file in the office of the City En-
gineer in the City of Azusa.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azmsa finds upon estimates directed to be furnished
and furnished by the City Engineer of said City of
Azusa, that the total cost of said proposed work or
improvement will be greater than fifty (50) cents
per front foot along each line of said street so pro-
posed to be improved, as hereinbefore set forth, in-
cluding the cost of intersection work assessable upon
upon said frontage; and said Board of Trustees determines 107
that serial Bonds shall be issued to represent the cost
of said work or improvement ; said serial bonds shall
be extended over a period, ending nine (9) years from
• and after the second day of January next succeeding the
date of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the
principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the
second day of January every year after their date until
the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable
semi-annually by coupon on the second days of La.nuary
and July respectively of each year, at the rate of seven
(7) per cent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the
whole of said principal and interest are paid. SaAd
bonds shall be issued in am& accordance with the pro-
visiond of an act of the Legislature of the State of
California entitleflc"An Act to Provide a System of:Street
improvement Bonds to Represent Certain Assessments for
the Cost of Street Work and Improvement within Municipali-
ties;, and also for the Payment of Such Boiads," approved
February,27th, 1893, and all acts supplementary thereto, or
amendatbry thereof.
Section 3. The Pomotropic, a weeklynnewspaper of
general circulation in the City of Azusa, is,hereby designa-
ted as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention
, and the Notice of the passage thereof, shall be published
in the tanner and by the persons required by law.
Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the
said City of Azusa is hereby directed to post notices of
• the passage of this Resolution in the manner and intthe
form required by law, and to cause a similar notice to be
published by one insertion in said newspaper.in the manner
required by law.
Section 5. The City Clerk of the City of A zusa shall
certify to the passage of this.Resolution and shall cause
the same to be published by two insertions in the manner
required by law in said newspaper, and shall post the same
conspicuously for two days on or near the chamber door
of the Bold of Trustees of said City,
