RESOLUTION N0325.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEPFS OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, DECLARING ITS INTEiiTIOB TO IMPROVE A
PORTION OF FIFTH 5TREET1IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, FROM
T1 E EAST LINE OF SAN GABRI=I, AVENUE TO THE WEST
LINE OF CERRITOS AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF AZUSA,
AND DETERMINING THAT SERIAL BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED
TO PMP?IESEBT THE COST THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
do resolve as follows;
Section 1. That the public interest and conven-
ience require and it is the intention of the Board
of Trustees of the City of Azusa, State of Califor-
nia, to order the following street work to be done
in said City, to -wit;
First. That a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in
width, be constructed along; each side of Chid
Fifth Street from the east bine of San Gabriel
Avenue to the west curb line of Pasddena Avenue,
(except along such portions of said street upon
which a cement sidewalk five 05) feet in width,
has already been constructed and now is to the

official line and grade, in accordance with and
where shown upbh the improvement plan, profiles,
and cross-section No "B 17" and in further accor-
dance with special specifications , designated
Special Specifications "Q" for the construction of
cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.)
Second. That a cement cmrb be constructed along
each side of the roadway of Fifth Street frdm the
east line of San Gabriel Avenue to the crest line of
Cerritos Avenue (Excepting along such portions of
said Street, upon which a cement curb has already
been constructed and now is to the official line
and grade, in accordance Nvith and where shown upon
the improvement plan, profiles, and cross-sections
No "B 17" arA in further accordance with Special
Specifications designated Special Speeifications "R"
for the construction of cement curbs in the City of
Azusa.)
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be
issued to represent assessments of twenty-five dollars
($25.00) or over for the cost of said work or improve-
ment; said serial bonds shall extend over a period
ending nine (9) years from and afttrr the secpnd day
of January neat succeeding the date of said bonds,
and an even annual proportion of the principal sum theredf
shall be payable,by coupon, on the second day of
January every year after their date until the whole
is paid; and the interest shall be payable semi-
annually , by coupogp, on the second days of January
and July, respectivel$ , of each year, at the rate
of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums unpaid,
until the tvhmle of said principal and interest
are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with the provisionsof an Act of the Legislature of
the State of California, entitled, "An ACT TO PROVIDE

PALITIES AND FOR ESTABLISHING AND CHANGING THE GRADES
OF ANY SUCH STREETS, AVENUES, LANES, AII.EYS, COURTS,
PLACES, AAD biLE-VrAj rnS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE.
AND PAYMFT NT OF STREET IIIPROVMMNT BONDS TO REPRESENT
CrRTAIN ASSESS1d}?NTS FOR THE COST THEREOF, AND PROVIDING
A METHOD FOR THE PAYMMS T OF SUCH BONDS," approved
April 7th, 1911, and all acts supplementary thereto
or amendatory thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles,
and cross-sectione, here -in -before mentioned are
hereby made a part of this Resolution and are re -
a
ferred to forlmore particular description of said
work and made a part hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resolu-
tion are on file in the office'of the City Clerk of
the City of Azusa.
All improvements, plans, profiles, and cross-
sections referred to in this Resolution are on file
in the office of the City Engineer of the City of
Azusa.
All streets referred to 1n this Resolution are -
public streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the
City of Azusa shall immediately post or cause to
be ppeted conspicuously along the lines of said work
and improvement, notices of the passage of this
Resolution of intention in the manner and form re-
quired by law.
Section b. The above Resolution is hereby des-
ignated and in all proceedings hereinafter had
thereunder, shall be known and, referred to as
Resolution of Intention 140 '325. /
Section G. The City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the
same to be published by two insertions in -the Pomo-
tropic, a weekly newspaper printed, published, and
circulated in the City of Azusa and hereby designated
by the Board of Trustees of said City of Azusa for
that purpose.
