The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows:
Section 1: RESOLVED. that the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, Calif-
ornia, having in open session, on the 27th day of October, 1913, o�encd, exam-
ined and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids offered for the follow-
ing work, to -wit:
First; That a cement curb be constructed along each line of the roadway of
Centre Street, from the west curb line of Angeleno Avenue to the easterly line
of kxgerJ:xxx the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company (coast lines), as
por map of Azusa, recorded in Book 15, Yage 93, Miscellane&us Records of Los
Angeles County, California, except along such portions of said street upDn
which a cement curb has already been constructed and $xxm now is to the of icia
line and grade, in accordance with and where shown on the improvement plans,
profiles, and cross-sections Nos. B 14, and in further accordance with special
specifications designated Special Specifications "J" for the construction of
cement curbs in the City of Azusa.
Second: That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width, be constructed ulonZ
the south side of tine roadway of Centre Street, fro.0 the wast curb line of
Angeleno Avenue to the easterly line of Orange Avenue, as pir Yap of Azusa, ro-
corded in Book 15, Page 93, Misc&llaneous Records of Los Angeles.�ounty, Calif-
ornia, except along sack portions of the south side of said street upon �,Ihich
a cement sidewalU, five (5) f66t in width, has already been constricted and now
is to the official line and grade, xin accordance with and where shown on the
improvement plans,'profiles, and cross-sections Nos. B 14, and in further acc-
ordance with special specifications designated Special Specifications "K", for
the construction of cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
Section 2: That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa determines that
serial bonds scall xx:kKxdxuaxaxxxpKxixdbe issued to represent assessments of

twenty-five dollars($25.00) or over for the cost of said work or improve.ent;
said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) years from and af-
ter the second day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds, and an

even annual Proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be oayable, by councn
on the second day of January every year after, their date until the whole is
paid; and the interest shall be payable semi-annually, by coupon, on the second
days of Januury and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of sever} (7)
percent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said princippl1are^ `
paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of an act
of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An act to provide a
system of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the
cost of street work and improvement within municipalities, and also for the
payment of such bonds," approved February 27, 1893, and all acts supplementary
thereto or amendatory thereof.
Said Board hereby rejects all of said bids except that next herein mention
ed, and hereby arcards the contract for said work to the lowest regular rE�sponsi
ble bidder, to-wit; to Mr. L. H. Jones, at the prices specified in his proposal
on file for said work, to-wit:
Cement Curb, per linear foot --------------------------------- *29 cents
Cement Sidewalk, per square foot-----------------------------+11 cents
The Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and
circulated in said City is hereby designatedd as the newspaper in which the
notice of this award shall be published in the manner, and by the person re-
quired by law.
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Yzusa is hereby directed to .)ost notic
of this award conspicuously for five days on or near the chamber door of the
Board of Trustees, and also publish said notice by one insertion in said �;eekly
newspaper.
Tho City Clerk shall dertify to the passage of this resolution.
