RESOLUTION NO 309.
A RESOLUTION OF THR BOARD OF TRUSTEESOF, TIS CITY OF
AZUSA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE CTIESCENT DRIVE
, IN THE CITY OF AZUSA , FROM THE WEST LINE OF ANGEIENO
AVENUE TO THE PROLONGATION SOUTH OF THE NAST LINE OF
VERNON AVENUE, IN TIM CITY OF AZUSA, AND DETERMINING
THAT SERIAL BONUS SHALL BF.,ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE
COST TI MMOF.
The Board 6l Trustees of the.City of Azusa do
resolve as follows;
Section 1. That the putrlic intqrest and conven-
ience require, and it is the inte#tion of the Board
of Trustees of the City of Azusa, State of California,
to order the following H6rket work to be done in said
City, toy -wit;
First. Thatlall that portion of Crescent Drive
,from the west line of Angeleno Avenue to the prolong-
ation south of the east line of Verhon Avenue, includ-
ing all intersections of Streets and alleys, be graded
and surfaced with clay and decomposed granite,(except-
ing along,suuh portions of said Crescent Drffive and
intersections as are required by law to he kept in
order or repair by any person or company having rail-
road tracks thereon and excepting such portions
of Crescent Drive ,'which have been graded and surfaced
with clay and decomposed granite, according to the
specifications herein provided and to:the official

grade ),in accordance with -the plans,. profiles, and
cross=sections No,B 16 6n file in the office of the
City Engineer of said City, and in accordance with

Special Specifications designated Special Specifi-
cations "P" for the construction of graded and our -
faced streets with'clay� and decomposed granite on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
A-usa, except that said street shall be surfaced
for the width of ten deet only along each side of
the center kine thereof instead of the whole width
of the -roadway as specified in said specifications.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be
issued to represent assassments of twenty-five
dollars $25.00) or over for the cost of said work
or improvement; said serial bonds shall exyend over
a period ending (9) years from and after the second
day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds,
and an even annual proportion of the principal sum
thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the second
day of January every year after their date until the
whole is paid; and the interest shall be payable
semi-annually, by coupon, on the second dajrs of Jan-
uary and July , respectively, of each year, atthe
rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums
unpaid, Cantil the whole of said principal and interest
are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with the provisions of an act of the legislature
of the State of California, entitled,"An AOT TO
PROVIDE FOR IVORY, IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES,LANES,
ALLEYS, COURTS , PLACES AND SIDETIALKS WITHIN IMINICIFA-
LITIES AND UPON PROPERTY AND RIGHTS -OF-WAYS OWNED
BY MUNICIPALIT12S AND FOR ESTABLISHING AND CHANGING

THE GRADES OF ANYnSTREETS, AVENUES, LANES, ALLEYS,
COURTS, PLACES AND SIDMIJALKS AND PROVIDING FOR THE
ISSUANCE AND PAYMIENT OF STREET IMPROV=, -IT BONDS TO
REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESS 'MNTS FOR TIE COST THEREOF,
AND PROVIDIIIG A METIiOD FOR THE PAYMMNT OF SUCH BONDSo"
' Approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts supplementary there-
to or amendatory thereof.
Section 3.. All improvement plans, profiles, and
' cross-sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made
a part of this Resolution and are referred tonfor a

more particular description of, said work and made a part
hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resilutionsare
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles, and cross-sections
referred to ir1 this resolution are on file in the office of
the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
All streets referred to in this Resolution are public
streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Azusa shall immediately post or cause to be posted con-
spicuously along the lines of said work and improvement,
notices of the padeage of this Resolution of intention
and in the manner and form required by law.
Section 5. The above Resolution is he3eby designated,
and in,all proceedings hereinafter had thereunder,shall
be known an4 referred to as Resolution of Intention No 309,
Section 6. The'City Clerk shall certify to,the adoption
of this,Resolution and shall cause the same to be published
by two insertions in the Pomotropia, a weekly newspaper
printed, published,and circulated in the City of Azusa, and
hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of ,said City
of Azusa for that purpose.
