RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO 292.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A POR-
TION OF ALAMEDA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND
THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT
THE COST -THEREOF.
The Board of Rrustees of the,City of Azusa do
resolve as follows;
Section 1. That the public interest .and con-
venience require and that it is the intention;of
the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa to order
the following work to be done, to -wit;
First. That a cement curb be constructed along •
each line of the roadway of said,Alameda Avenue
from the north curb line of second Street to a line
drawn across said Alameda Avenue from the northea6t .
corner of Lot 31, Block 29, of Map of.Azusa•, to the
northwest corner of Lot 36, Block 3.0. of Map of
Azusa, as per map of Azusa recorded in Book 15,'page
93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Ahgeles County,
California, except along such portions of said
street upon which a cement curb has already been
constructed and now is to the official line and
grade, in accordance with and where shown upon the
Improvement plans, profiles, and cross-sections
NOS B 9 and B 10, and in further accordance with
Special Specifications designated Special Specifi-
cations "A",for the construction of cement curbs
in the City of Azusa.
Second. That a cement curb be constructed along
each 14m of the roadway of Alameda Avenue from a
line drawn across said Alameda Avenue from the
y southeast corner of Lot 13, Block 19,fiof Map of
„"__ Azusa, as per Map of Azusa, recorded in Book 15,
page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, to the south curb line of Eleventh
Street , except along such portions of said street
upon which a cement curb has already been constructed
and now is to the official line and grade, in

1> accordance with and where shown upon the Improvement
Plans, profiles and cross-sections Noe B 9 and B 108
and in further accordance with special specifications
designated as special Specifiactions "A". for the
construction of cement curb*n the City of Azusa.
Third. That a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in
width, be constructed along eac$ side of said Alameda
Avenue from the north curb line of Second Street to a
line drawn across said Alameda Avenue from the north-
east corner of Lot 31, Block 29 of the May of Azusa,
to the northwest corner of Lot 36, Block 30, of the
Map of Azusa, as per Map of Azusa recorded in Book 15
page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, except along such portions of said Alameda
Avenue upon which a cemeng,sidewalk , five (5) feet
in width, has already been constructed and now is to
the official line and grade, in accordance with and
where shown upon the Improvement plane, profiles4i
and oross-sections Nos B 9 and B 10, and in further
accordance with special specifications designated
Special Specifications "B",, for the vonstructign of
cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
Fourth. That a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in
width be constructed along each bide of the roadway of
Alameda Avenue from a line drawn across said Alameda

Avenue from the southeast corner of Lot 13, Block 20,
of the Map of Azusa,k to the southwest corner of Lot 22
Block 19, of the Map of Azusa, as per map of Azusa
recorded In Book 15, page 93, Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California,to the south curb
line of Eleventh Street, except along such portions
of said Alameda Avenue upon which a cement sidewalk
five (5) feet in width,has already been constructed
and now is to the official line and grade, in

accordance with and where shown upon the Improvement
plans, profiles and cross-sections, Nos B 9 and B 10
and in further accordance with special specifications
designated Special Specifications, "B", for the
construction of cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.

Section 11. That the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued
to represent assessments of twenty -five ($25.00)
or over for th& cost of said work or improvement;
said seTial bonds shall extend over a period ending
nine (9) years from and after the second day of January
nexg succeeding the date of said bonds, and an even
annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be
payable, by egupon , on the second days of January eudry
$8ddr after their date until the whole is paid, and
the interest shall be payable semi-annually , by coupdn
, on the second days of January and July ,respectively,
of peach year, at the rate of seven M Per een5tper
annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole offsaid prin-
cipal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued
in accorratias with the provisions of an act of the
Legislature of the State of�Cal;ifornia, entitled, "An
act to -provide a system of street improvement bonds
to represent certain assessments for the cost of street
work and improvement within municipalities, and also
for the payment of such bonds, " approved February
27th, 1893, and all acts supplementary thereto or
amendatory thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles and
cross-eections hereinTefore mentioned are hereby made a
part of this Resolution and are referred to for a more
particular description of said workip and made a part
hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resolution
are on file in the office of the Mity Clerk of the
dity of Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles and cross-
sections referred to I# this Resolution are do file in
the office of=the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the
City of Azusa shall post notices of said work as re-
quired by law, and shall cause the same to be published
once in the Pomotropie, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated in said City of Azusa and
hereby designated for that purpose.
G Section 5. The City Clerk shall cettify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause„the same to be published
by two,inseetions in the,pomotropie,•a weekly newspaper
printed, published and circulated in ShbdCity of Azusa, and
hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of 6W City of
Azusa for that purpose , and shall post the same conspicuous-
ly for two days on or near the chamber door of the place of
meeting of the Board of Trustees of said City, and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and affect.
