RESOLUTION NO 2416.
L, RESOLUTION OF AWARD.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do re-
solve s That,
Having in open session, at 7:30 oclock 8;i M. on
the 28th day of April, 1913, opened, examined and pub-
licly declared all proposals or bids offered for the
work described as followe;to-wit;
First. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width
be constructed along the North side of said Centre
Street from the east curb line of Dalton Avenue on the
West to the west curb line of Pasadena Avenue, on the
East, (excepting along such portions of Centre Street
upon which a cement sidewalk fire (5) feet in width has
already been constructed to the official line and grade)
said sidewalk to be constructed according tp Specifi-
cations for the construction of cement sidewalks on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Azusa, said Specifications being numbeted 7, except that
said sidewalk shall be laid two feet from the property
line instead of as specified in said Specifications.
Second. That a cement curb be constructed along
the north line of Centre Street from the east curb line
of Dalton Avenue 6n the west to the East Boundary line
of the City of Azusa (excepting along such portions of
said Centre,Strect upon which a cement curb has
alread$ been constructed to the official line and
grade), in accordance withNspecifications for the,
construction of cement curbs on file, in the office of
the City -Clerk of the City of Azusa , said specifications
being numbered 8.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa finds upon estimates directed to be furnished
and furnished by the City Engineer of said, City of
Azusa, that the total cost of zaid proposed work or im-
provement will be greater than fifty (50) cents per
front foot along each line of said street so proposed
to be improved , as hereinbefore set forth, including
the cost of intersection work assessable upon said

serial bonds shall be issued to represent the cost of
said work or improvement ; said serial bonds shall be
extended over a period,ending nine (9) years from and
after the second day of January next succeeding the
date of said bonds, aLd an even annual proportion of
the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon
on the second day of January and July every year aft6t
t}ieir date unti& the whole is paid , and the interest
shall be pgyable semi-annually by coupon on the second
days of January and July respectively of each year, at
the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all
sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal and
interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in aeo
cordonce with the provisions of An Act 6f the Legis-
lature of the State of California, entitled," An Act
to Provides System of Street Improvement Bonds to
Represent Certain Assessments for the Cost of Street
Work and Improvement Within Nunicipalities, and also
fon the Payment of such Bonds,"approved February 27,
1893, and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory
thereof.
Said Hoard hereby rejects all of said bids
except the next herein mentioned and hereby awards the
Contract for said work to the lowest, regular
responsible bidder, to -wit;
Berry & Uiehielson at the
prices specified in their proposal on file for said
work, to -wit;
Cement curb,---- per lineal foot........ P.21
Cement sidewalks, ----per square foot.... $.084
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post not-
ices of this award odinspicuously for five days on or near
of the place of meeting
the chamber door/\of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa and also cause the said notice to be published
once in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated in said City of Azusa and
hereby designated for that purpose.
The foregoing Resolution was ad&pted at a re-
gular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of

Azusa held on the 5th day of May, 1913, by a three-
fourths vote of the members of said Board, to -wit;
Ayes; Bathes, Clark , Case and Roao4.
Noes; None.
Absent; Collins.
