RESOLUTION NO 268.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VITY
OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION
OF ALAMEDA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND DETER -a
MINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED W REPRESENT
THE COST 'THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City ofAzusa
do resolve as follows;
Section 1. That the public interest and con-
venience require and that it is the intention of
the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa to
order the following work to be done, to -wit;
First. That a cement curb be constructed along
each line of the roadway of said Alameda Avenue
from the north curb line of Second Strdet to the
Southerly line of the rightro8-way of the Atchison
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast lines)
as per map of Azusa recorded In Book 15, Page 93,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, C"-

ifornia, except along such portions of said
street upon which a cement curb has already been
constructed and now is to the official line and
grade , in accordance with and where shown upon
the Improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections
NO "B" 9 and "B" 10, and in further accordance with
special specifications designated Spectral Specifi-
cations A , for the construction of cement
curbs in the City of Azusa...
Second. That a cement curb be constructed
along each line of the roadway of Alameda Avenue
from the northerly line of the right-of-wayt:of the
Atchison,Topeka ,and Santa Fe Railway Company(Coast
lines), as per may of Azusa recorded in Book 15,
page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, except along such portions of
said street upon which a cement curb has already
been constructed and now is to the official line
and grade, in accordance with and whereshown upon
the Improvement plans, profiles,and cross-sections

Third. That a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet
in width, be constructed along each side of said
Alameda Avenue from the north curb line of Second
Street to the southerly line of the right-of-way of
the Atchison, Topeka and Sante Fe Railway Company
(Coast lines)„as per map of Azusa recorded in Book
15, page 93 , Miscellaneous records of Los Angeles
County, California, except along such portions of said
Alameda Avenue upon which a cement sidewalk,.five (5)
feet in width , has already been constructed and now
is to the official,line and grade, in accordance with
and where shown upon the Improvement plans, profiles
and cross.?sections NOS.B9 and B 10, and in further
accordance with special Specifications designated
Special Specifications B , for the construction
of cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
Fourth. That a cement sidewalk, five (5), feet
in width, beiconstructed along each side of the road-
way of Alameda Avenue from the northerly line of the
right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe
Railway Company(Coast Lines), as per map recortded in
Book 15•,, Page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
Cmunty,ralifornia, to the South curb line=.sof Eleventh
Street, except alongsouch portions of said Alameda
Avenue upon which a cement sidewalk ,five (5) feet in
width, has already been constructed and now is to the
official line and grade, in accordanc with and where
shown upon the Improvement plans, profiles and cross-
sections NOS.B 9 and B10 and in further accordance
with special Specifications designated Special Spec-
ifications B for the construction of cement
sidewalks, in the City of Azusa.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the
CiLynof Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be
issued to represent assessments of Twenty-five dollars

(025,00) or over for the cost of said work or im-.
provement ; said serial bonds shall extend over a
peridd ending nine (9) years from anddafter the se-
cond day of January, next succeeding the date of said
bonds, and an even annual proportion of the principal
sum thereof shall be payable, by poupbn, on the
second day of January every year after their date
until the whole is paid; and the interest shall be
payable semi-annually , by coupon , onnthe second
days of January and July, respectively, of each
year, at the bate of seven (7) per cent on all suras
unpaid, until the whole of said principal and interest
are paid,, Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with the proyrisions of an Act of the Legislature of
the State of California, entitled,"An Act to Provide
a system of street Improvement bonds to represent
certain assessments for the coat of street work
said improvement within municipalities, and also for
the payment of such bonds,"Approved February 27th,1893
and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory
thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles and
cross-sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby
made a part of this Resolution and are referred to
for a more particular description of said work,'and
made a part hereof.

of the City of Azusa.

sections referred to in this,Resolution are on file
in the office of the City Lngineer of the City of

' '" SECTION 4.
The Superintendent of Stroota,or c]Ae City of.'
Azusa shall post notices of said work as required
by law, and shall cause the same to be published

once in the Pomotropic, a meekly newspaper printed,
U published and circulated in said City of Azusa hereby
designated for that purpose.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall de]efoyto the
adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same
to be published by two insertions in the Pomotropic
, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated
in the City of Azusa, and hereby designated for that
purpose, and shall poste the same conspicuous&y for
two days on or near the chamber door of the tlacd of
mdetingtof„the Board of Trustees of said City and
thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and
be in force.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
held on the 14th day of April, 1913,by the affirmative
vote of at least three Trustees of said City To -wit;
Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and Roahh.
