A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPRCVE A POR- TION OF CRESCENT DRIVE IN THE CITY OF'AZUSA AND D1:- TERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF. The Board of Trustees of the City df Azusa do resolve as follows; Section 1. That the public interest and con- venience, require and that i t is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa to order the following work to be done ,to -wit; First , that Grescent Drive be graded and our - faced with clay and decomposed granite from the west curb line of Angeleno Avenue to the west line of _Vernon Avenue,(excepting along such portions of said Street which has already•beon graded and surfaced with clay and decomposed granite and now is to the official line and grade,) in accordance with and where shown upon the Improvement plans, profiles, and croes-sections No.B 1.1, and in further accordance with specifications NoG for the construe - tion of clayed streets in the city of.Azusa, except that said street shall be surfaced for the width of ten feet only along each side of the center line thereof instead of the whole width of said roadway and also that no clay shall be placed I in the parkway between the curb and sidewalk, as specified in said specifications . Secohd. That a cement curb be constructed along each line of the roadway of Crescent Drive from the west curb line of Angeleno Avenue to the east curb line of Vernon Avenue, excepting along such portions of said street upon which a cement curb has -already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade, in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles and croesasections NO Bll, and in further accordance with special specifications designated Special Specifications E, foftthe construction of cement curbs in the City of Azusa. Third. That a cement sidewalk , five (5) feet in width, be constructed along the north line of Crescent Drive from the west curb line of Angeleno Avenue to the east curb line of Vernon Avenue, excepting along such portions of said Cres- cent Drive upon which a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in width, has alreadjr been constructed and now is to the official line and grade, in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles, and cross-sections No B 11, and in further accordance with special specifications designated Special Spec- ifications F, for the construction of cement side- walks in the City of Azusa. Section ll.The said Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued representing assessments of 025.00 or over�lthe cost of said work or improvement. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the second days of January of every year after their date until the whole is paid and the interest shall be payable semi-annually , by coupon,, on the second days of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said prinvipal and interest are paid, Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled ,"An Act to provide for work in amdOAPon Ibbe---streete, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities and upon property and rights- of- way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such stree.ts,avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks and providing for the issuance and payment of street 122 � . - -- - - ,-- - - ----, improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof and prod ding domethodetol the payment of such bonds". Approved April 7th, 19110 and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof. Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a part of this resdlution and are re- ferred to for a more particular description of said work and made a part hereof. All specifications referred to in this Res- olution are on file in the office of the City Clark of the City of Azusa. All improvement plans, profiles and cross- sections referred to in this Resolution are -,on file in the office of the City Engineer of the Nity of $zusa. All streets referred to in this Resolution are public streets in the City of Azusa/ Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Azusa shall post notices of said work as required by law. Section 5. The above Resolution is hereby designated andn$11 proceedings hereinafter had thereunder shall be known and referred to as Resolution of Intention NC 264 Section 6. The City Cldrk shall attest to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published twice in the Pomotropic , a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City of Azusa, and hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of said City for that purpose. The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa held on the 14th day of'April,`1913, by the affirmativevote of at least three trustees of said City to -wit; i Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case aad Roach.
