A nESOMITION OF THE BOARD OIC' TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING STREET WORK TO BE DONE ON TENTH STREET IN SAID CITY FROM THE LAST LINE OF VERNON AVENUE TO THE WEST LINE OF PASA- DENA AVF,NUR IN SAID CITY. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa asfollows; Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire and the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa hereby orders street work to be done in accordance with the specifi- cations heretofor adopted, as referred to and specified in its resolution NO 361 and under the direction anis to the satiefac- tion of the Superintendent of Street of said City,to-wit; Firet. That all the portion of Tenth Streetffrom the east line of Azusa Avenue to the west line of Pasadena Avenue, in- cluding all intersections of street and alleys, be graded and surfaced with clay and decomposed granite(excepting along such portions of Tenth Street and intersections as are required by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon and excepting such portions of Tenth Street and iAtersectiona as have been graded with clay and decomposed granite, according to the specifications herein (,,provided and to the official like and grade,,) in accordance with the plans, profile and cross-sections NO B 20, on file 397 in the office of the City Engineer of the said City of Azusa, and in accordande with specifications NO lb for the construction of graded and surfaced streets with clay and decomposed granite on file 6n the office of the City Clark of the City of Azusa, except that such street shall be surfaced for the width of ten feet only along each side of the center line thereof instead of the whole width of the roadway as specified in said specifications. Second. That a cement sidewalk five(5) feet in width be constructed along the north sidq of the roadway of Tenth Street from the east line of Vernon Avenue to the west curb line of Soldano Avenue (except along such portions of said street upon which a cement sidewalk;fiue (5) feet in width has already been constructed and now iq to the ofgicial line and Sradr ),in accordance with 4nd where shown upon the improveipent 398 plans, profilesand cross-sections NO B4O, and in further accordance with specifications designated Specifi- cations NO 10 for the construction of cement sidewalks in, the City of Azusa, on file in the office of the City Clerk: of the City of Azusa. Third. That a cement ®idewalk.five (5) feet in width be constructed along the south side of the roadway of Tenth Street from the east line of Vernon Avenue to the west line of Pasadena Avenue (except along such portions of said street upon which a cement sidewalk (5) feet in width has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade,) in accordance with and whore shown upon the im- provement plans, profiles, and cross-sections NO B 20, and in further,aoeordance with specifications designated Spee" ifieations NO 10 for the construction of cement sidewalks In the City of Azusa, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the pity of Azusa. Fourth. That a cement curb be constructed along each line of the roadway of Tenth Street from the east line of Vernon Avenue to the west line of Pasadena Avenue (except along such portions of said street which a cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade,) in accordance with and where ,shown upon the im- provement plans,, profiles and capes -sections NO B 20 and in further accordance with specifications depignated Specifications NO 12 for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Azusa on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City of Azusa. Section 2. That the Board of Trustees. of the City of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued to, represent assessments of Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or over for the cost of said work or improvement; said aerial bonds shall extend over a period endigg nine (9) years from and after the second day of January.next sudoeed- ing the date of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon, mn the 2nd day of January every year after their date until the whole is paid; and the interest shall be payable semi-annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January and July, respectively of each year, at the rate of seven (?%) 0 0 399 { per ceht per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of y � said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions Of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WMM IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES, LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND SIDEWALKS AND PROVII?ING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF AND PAYMENT OF STREET IMPROVE- MENT BONDS t0 REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COSTS TIIF.REOF, AND PROVIDING A METHOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS", approved April 7th,19111 and all acts supple*antary thereto of amendatory thereof. Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles and cross- sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a part of this Resolution and are referred to for a more particular descrip- tion of said work and made a part thereof. All specifications referred to in this Resolution are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa. All improvement plans, profiles, and cross-sections referred to in this Resolution are on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Azusa. All streets referred to in this Resolution are public streets in the City of Azusa. Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of said work inviting dealed proposals or bids for doing said work and referridg to the specifications posted or on file, by two insertions in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose. Said notice shall require a certified check or bond, either, as provided by law and for an amount not less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal. Said City Clerk is also directed to post said notice with specifications conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber door of said Board of Trustees. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and then and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
