RESOLUTION No 386.
A RESOLUTION OF -THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA ORDERING CERTAIN WORK DONS ON AZUSA AVENUE IN SAID
CITY FROM THE SOUTHERLY CURB LINS OR FOURTH STREET TO THE
NORTHERLY CURB LINE OF FIRST ETRSET IN SAID CITY.
Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa as fomlows;
Section 1.That the public interest and convenience
require and that the Board of Trustees of the City of
Azusa hereby orders street words to be done on A&uea Ave-
nue in accordance with the oyactfications heretofore
adopted, as referred to and specified in its resolution
No 362, and under the direction and to the satisfaction
of the Superintendent of Streets of said City, to -wit;
First. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet.in
width be constructed along each side -of the roadway of
said Azusa Avenue from the southerly curb line of Fourth
Street to the northerly curb line of.First Street, (ex -
sept along such portions of said street upon which a ce-
ment sidewalk five (5) feet in width has already been
constructed and now is to the officiaa'line and grade)
in accordance with and where shown ppon the Improvement
plan, profile, ,and crose-sections NO B 21, and in further
accordance with specifications NO 10, for then construc-
tion of cement s®dewalks in the City of Azusa, adopted by
,
the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa by Ordinance
NO 151 of said City.
Second. That a cement curb (Class B) be constructdd
along each side of the roadway of Azuda Avenue from the
southerly curb line of Fourth Street to the northerly
curb line of First Street (except along such portions
of said street upon which a cement curb has already been
constructed and now is to the official line and geade)
in accordance with and where shown upon the Improvement
plan, profile, and crossusections No B 21, and in further
accordance with Specifications NO 12 for the constructiob e
of cement curbs in the City of Azusa, adopted by the Board
of Trustees of the City of Azusa by Ordinance NO 151, of

Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent
assessments of Twenty-five dollars ($26.00 ) or over for the
cost of said work or improvement; said serial bonds shall ex-
tend over a period ending nine (9) years from and after the
second day of January next succeeding tUe date of said bonds,
and an even annual proportion of Ohe principal sum thereof
shall be payable ,by coupon, on the second day of January

every year after their date ubtil the whole is paid; and the
interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon,on the
second days of January and July, respectively,of each yeat,at
the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid,
until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Said
bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of an
Act of the Legislature of the State of California,entitled,
"AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES, LANLH,
ALLEYS, COURTS,PLACES AND SIDEWALKS AND PROVIBINO FOR THE
ISSUANCE AND PAYMENT OF STREET IMPROVMWT HOLDS TO REPRE-
SENT CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COST THEREOF,AXD PROVIDING
A METHOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS", approved April,7th,
1911, and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof.
Section $. All improvement plans, profiles, and cross-
sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a Bart of
this•iResolution anu ra referred to for a more particular
description of said work and made a part hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resolution are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa.
All improvement plane, profiles, and crosepsections
referred to in this Resolution are on file 6n the office of
the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
All streets referred to in this Resolution are public
streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 4,, The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
a notice of said work inviting sealed proposals or bids for
doing said work and referring to the spec,i,ficatione posted
or on file, by two insertions in the Pomotropic, a weekly
newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby
designated for that purpose. Said notice shall require a certified
clack or bon4 either, as -provided by 1&w and for an amount hot

lose than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal.
Said City Clerk is also directed to poet said notices
with specifications monepicuously for five days on or
near the Council Chamber door of said Board of Trustees.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and then and thereafter the same shall
be i# full force and effect.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolutiom:was

signed by the President of said Board and attested to by
the City Clerk, all at a regular adjourned *eating of
said Board held on the first day of June,1914,by the
following vote,to-wit;
