RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF
FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND DETERMINING THAT
SERIAL BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve
as followel
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and it the intention of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa , State of California, to order the following
work to be done in said City of Azusa, to -wit;
First. That all that portion of Fourth Street from the
East line of Alameda Avenue to the west line of Pasadena
Avenue, including all intersections of streets and alleys
,be grade and surfaced with clay and decomposed granite,
(excepting along such portions of said Fourth Street and
intersections as are required by law to be kept in order or
repair by any person or company having railroad tracks
thereon and excepting such portions of Fourth Street that
have been graded and surfaced with clay and decomposed
granite,) tothe official line and grade, and in accordance
with the plans, profiles and cross -sec tions NO B 18
on file in the office of the City Engineer of the said
City of Azusa, and in accordance with Special Specifications
designated Special Specifications OUR for the construction
of graded and surfaced streets with clay and decomposed
granite on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Azuea,eacept that such street shall be surfaced
for the width of ten feet only along each side of the center
line thereof instead of the whole width of the roadway as
specified in sand Specifications.
Second. That a cement sidQX%lk five (5) feet in
width be constructed along the south side of the roadway !
of Fourth Street from the east line of San Gabriel Avenue
to the west line of Pasadena Avenue except along such por-
tions of the south side of said street upon which" a
cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width ,has already been
constructed and now is to the official line and grade, in

accordance with and where shown upon the impfovement
plans, profiles and cross-sections NO B 19 and in
further accordance with special specifications designated
as Specitl Specifications "V" for the construction of
cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
Third. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width
be constructed along the north side of the roadway of
fourth street from the east line of San Gabriel Avenue
to the west curb line of Soldano Avenue (except along
such portions of the north side of said street upon
which a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width has al-
ready been constructed and now is to the official Mine
and grade), in accordance with and where shown upon
the improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections NO
B 19 and in further accordance with special specifica-
tions designated as Special Specifications "V" for the
construction of cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
Fourth. That a cement curb be construoV$d along
each line of the roadway of Fourth Street from the east
line of San Gabriel Avenue to the west line of Pasadena
Avenue except along such portions of said street upon
which a cement curb has already been constructed and now
is to the official line and grade in accordance with and
where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles, and
,
cross-sections NO B 19 a6d in further accordance with
special specifications designated specidl Specifications
"W" for the construction of cement curbs in the City of
Azusa.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued to
represent assessments of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)
or over for the cost of said work or improvement} said
serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9)
years from and after the second day of January next
succeeding the date of said bonds, and an even annual
proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable
by coupon, on the second day of January every year after
their date until the whole is paid; and the interest
,
shall be payable semi-annually, by coupon, on the second
days of January •d July, respectively, of • h year, at the
rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums unpaid, un-
til the whole od'said interest and principal are paid. Said
bonds shall be issued to accordance`with the provisions of an
Act of the Legislature of the ltatecof California, entitled,

"D UPON PROPERTY AND RIGHTS OF WAYS OWNED BY MUNICIPALITIES
AND FOR ESTABLISHING AND CHANGING THE GRADES'OF ANY SUCH
STREETS, AVENUES, LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES, AND SIDEWALKS
ANb PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND PAYMENT OF STREET IMPROVE-
MENT BONDS TO
CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS FOR THE DOST
THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A METHOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF'SUCH BONDS"
approved April'7th,1913, and'all acts bupplementary thereto
or amendatory thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans'. profiles, and cross-
sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a part of
this Resolution and are referred to for a more particular
description of said woik and made a part hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resolutions are
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections re-
ferred to in this Resolution are on file in the office of the
City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
Section 4. The Superintendent of streets of the City of
Azusa shall immediately post or cause to be posted conspic-
uously along -the line of said work and improvement, notices
of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner
and form required by law.
Section 5. The above Resolution is hereby designated and
in all proceedings hereinafter had thereunder, shall be
known and referred to as Resolution of Intention NO 382.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published
by two insertions in "The Pomotropio", a weekly newspapet
printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa and
hereby designated by the Board of Trustees for that purpose.
Adopted and approved this 11th day of May,1914.

I. C.W.Bouldin, City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa,
State of California,and signed by the President of
said Board, and attested to by the City Clerk, at a
regular meeting thereof, held on the 11th day of May,
1914, and that the same was passed by the following
vote,to-wit;
Ayes; Barnes, Thompson, Petty, Clark, Collins.
Noes; None.
Absent; None.
