A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
DECI.ARING,ITS INTENTION, TO IMPROVE ORANGE AVENUE IN THE CITY
ON AZUSA FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF CENTRE STREET TO THE PROLONG-
ATION WEST OF THE NORTH LINE OF SIXTH STREET.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, do resolve
As folloAs;
,Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require,
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City
df Azusa, Std6te of California, to order the following street
work to be done in said City, to -wit;
First. That a cement sidewalk five (b) feet in width
be constructed along the East side of Orange Avenue, from
the south line of Centre Street to the prolongation west of
the north line of Sixth Street,(exeepting along such por-
tious of,Orange Avenue upon which a cement sidewalk five
(b) feet in width has already been constructed and now Is
to the official ling and grade) in accordance with and
where shown upon the improvement plans,profiles and cross-
sections N B 18, and in further accordance with special
Specifications designated Special Specifications 00" for
the construction of cement sidewalks in theCity of Azusa.
Second. That aeement curb be constructed along the
east line of Orange Avenue, from the south line of Centre
Street to the prolongation west of the north line of Sixth
Street (excepting along such portions of said Orange Avenue
upon which a cement curb has already been constructed and now
is to the official line and grade), in accordance with and
where shown 290#, the improvement plans, profiles, and cross-
sections numbered B la and in further accordance with special
specifications designated Special Specifications "N", fog the
construction of cement curbs in the City of Azusa.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City of
Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent
assessments of Twenty-five dollars (P25.00) or over for the
cost of said work or improvement; said serial bonds shall ex-
tend over a period ending nine (9) years from and after the
second day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds,
and an even annua& proportion of the principal sum thereof

shall be payable, by coupon, on the second day of January
every year after their date -until the whole is paid; and
the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon, on
the second days of January and July, respectively, of each
year, at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all
sums unpaid, until the whole of said prirjcipal and interest
are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with an
Act of the Legislature of the State of California,entitled,
"AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STRESTS,SVENUES,
LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND BI32WWZS WITHIN MUNICI-
PALITIES AND UPON PROPERTY AND RIGHTS OF WAY4OWNED BY
MUNICIPALITIES AND FOA -ESTABLISHING AND CHANGING THE GRADES
OF ANY SUCH STREETS, AVENUES, LANES, ALIMS,•COURTS,
PLACES'AND SIDEWBLKS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND
PAYMENT OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS TO REPRESENT CERTAIN
ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COSTS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A METHOD
NOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS",approved April 7th,1E11,
and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans, profilesg and
cross-sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made
a part of this Resolution and are referred,to for a more
particular description of said work, and made a part
hereof.
All specifications referred to in this Resolution
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles, and cross-secttons
referred to in this Resol$tione are on file in the office
of the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
All streets referred to in this Resolution are
public'streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 4. The Superintendent of streets of tke
City of'Azuea shall -immediately post or cause to be
posted conspicuously along the lines of said work or
improvement, notices of the passage of this Resolution.

Section b. The City Clerk shall eertifK to the
adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to
' be published by two insertions in the Pomotropio, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City

of Azusa for that purpose, and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
