RESOLUTION NO 361.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A
PORTION OF TENTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA FROM
THE EAST LINE OF VERNON AVENUE TO THE VJIEST LINE OF
PASADENA AVENUE,'IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND DETER-
MINING
ETE -
MINING THAT SERIAL BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO RE-
PRESENT THE COSI' THEREOF. ,
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do
resolve as follows; ,
Section 1. That the public interest and con-
venience require and it is the intention of the
Board ofi.Trustees of the City of Azusa, State of
California, to order the following street work to
be done in the City of Azusa, to -wit;
First. That all that portion of Tenth.Street
from the east line of Azusa Avenue to the west
line of Pasadena Avenue, including all.interseetions
,of streets and alleys, be graded and surfaced with
clay and decomposed granite, (Excepting along such
portions of Tenth Street and intOrsections as are
required by law to be kept in order or repair by
any person or company having railroad tracks there-
on and excepting such portions of Tenth Street
as have been graded with cla;r and decomposed granite
, according to the specifications herein provided and
t6 the official line and grade,) in,accordance with
the plans, profile, and crose;sectione NO B 20
on file in the office of thg City Engineer of the
said City of Azusa, and in accordance with spec-
ifications NO 15 for the construction of graded
and surfaced streets with clay and decomppeed
granite on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Azusa, except that such street
shall be surfaced for the width of ten feet only
along each side of the center line thereof
instead of the whole width of the roadway as
spedified in said specifications.

SECOND. That a Cement sidewalk five (5) feet in
width be constructed §long the north side of the roadr

way of Tenth Street from the east line of Vernon
J.
Avenue to the west curb line of Soldano Avdnue (expept-
along such portions of said street upon which a cement
sidewalk five (5) feet in width has already been con-
structed and now is to the official line and grade,)
in accordance with and where shown upon improvement plans,
profiles and cross-sections NO B 20 and in further
accordance with SpeciiTications designated Specifications
NO 10, for the construction of cement sidewalks in the
City of Azusa, on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the.City of Azusa.
Third, That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in
width be constructed along the south side of the road-
way of Tenth Street flrom the east line of Vernon Avenue
to the west line of Pasadena Avenue (Except along such
portions of said street upon which a cement sidewalk
five (5) feet in width has already been constructed and
now is to the official line and grade) in accordance
with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles
and cross-sections No B 20, and in further accordance
with Specifications designated Specifidations NO 10,
for the construction of cement sidewalks in the City of
Azusa, on fila in the office of the City Clerk of said
City.
Fourth. That a cement curb be constructed along
each line of the roadway of Tenth Street from the east
lineoof Vernon Avenue to the west line of Pasadena Avenue
(Except along such portions of said Street upon which
a cement curb has already been constructed and now is
to the official line and grade,) in accordance with and
where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles and
enpse-sections NO B 20 and in further accordance with
specifications designated Specifications NO 12 for the
construction of cement cumbe in the City of Azusa on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City
Of Azusa.
Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City of

Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued
to represent assessments of Twenty -Five Dollars
(926.00) or over for the cost of said work or im-
provement ; said,serial bonds shall extend over
a period ending nine (9) years from and after the
second day of January next succeeding the date
of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of
the principal sum thereof shall be payable by
coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year
after their date until the whole is paid; and the
interest shall be payable semi-annually, by
coupon, on the 2nd day of January and July, res-
pectively of each year, at the rate of seven (7)
per cent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the
whole of said principal and interest are paid.
Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with
the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of
the State of California, entitled"AN ACT TO PRO-
VIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES, LANES,
ALLM;, C; UYT Ta", PLACES, AND SIDEWAIKS WITHIN
MUNICIPALITIES AND UPON PROPERTY AND RIGHTS OF
WAYC06WNED BY MUNICIPALITIES AND FOR ESTABLISHING
AND CHANGING THE GRADES OF ANY SUCH STREETS, AVENUES,
LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND SIDEWALKS AND
PROVIDING FOR THE IESUAITCE AND PAYMENT OF STREET
IMPROVEIMITT BONDS TO REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS
FOR THE COST THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A METHOD FOR
THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS," approved April 7th,1911,
and all sets supplementary thereto or amendatory
thereof.
Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles
and cross-sections herein before mentioned are
hereby made a part of this Resolution and are re-
ferred to for a more particular description of
said work and made a part hereof,
All specifications referred to in this Resolution
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
city of Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles, and cross-

sections referred to in this Resolution are on file in
the office of the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
All streets referred to in this Resolution are
public streets in the,City of Azusa,
Section 4. The Superintendent of sttreets of the
City of Az++se shall immediately post or cause to be posted
conepicuously along the lines of said work and im-
provemPnt, notices of the passage of this resolution
of Intention in the manner and form,required by law.
Section 5. The above resolution is hereby de-
signated and in all proceedings hereinafter had there -

Section G., The City Clerk of the City of Azusa
shall cortify-yo the adoption of this Resolution and
shall cause the same to be published by two insertions
in the "Pornotropic", a weekly newspaper printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the ,City of Azusa and hereby
designated by the Board of Trustees od shid City of Azusa
