Monday,February 16,1920.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met
in regular session at 7:30 P.M.
President Case appointed M.H.Goslin to act as
Clerk of the Board.
Present at roll call;Trustees;Bobinson,Goslin,
Bierbower and President Case and City Attorney.
Absent;Trustee Barnes and City Clerk.
It•was moved and carried that the Board adjourn ADJOURNED TO BANK
to the Directors room at the First National Bank
on account of there being no lights in the City
Hall.

On account of the absence of the City Clerk the CITY ATT'Y,.-AUTHORIZED
reading of the minutes were dispensed with. TO FILE DISCLAIMER.
It was regularly moved and seconded that the City
Attorney be authorized to file a disclaimer in
Base B79015.
Carried by the following vote;Ayes:Bobinson,Goslin,: ,
Bierbower,Case. Noes;None. Absent;Barnes.
Mr, F.S. Hayden, Mr.W,R;,Andrews,Mrs.Nettie LDing-
td#nd a committee from the Parent Teachers Ass'n.
consisting of MrsJ% R.Andrews,Mrs.Mary Y.Bonner
and Mrs,Nancy Ward appeared before the Board and
spoke regarding cigarette smoking by pupils of the
High and Grammer schools,
It was moved that the City Clerk be directed to
communicate with the District Attorney of Los
Angeles County stating that complaint has been made
to the Board of Trustees that tobacco and cigarettes
are being continually sold in Azusa to school child-
ren in violation of law and requesting his office to
'take the necessary steps to prevent this practice
and prosecute the violators.

appear before the Board of Trustees at its next PLAINT OF ALLOWING

complaint made against him for allowing minors
under 18 years of age to play pool in his place
of buisness in violation of City Ordinance.

and City Attorney be requested to appear before THE MATTER OF APPOINT -
the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday the 24th,day MENT OF COUNTY SANITAR
of February at 10 o'clock A,M,and represent the ENGINEER;,
interests of the City of Azusa in the matter of
the appointment of a County Sanitary Engineer.
It was moved that the orders for material and PURCHASE OF MATERIAL
supblies placed by the Owl Fumigating Corporation. BY OWL FUMIGATING
for constructing water pipe line and power trans,1,^ OORATION APPROVED.
'mission line under contract with the City of Azusa
in reference to same as per their invoices,Order No.
44-56-58 and 51171 accompanying their communications
dated February 1281920,be ratified,confirmed and
approved and that the City Clerk be instructed to
notify said Corporation to that effect.

It was moved that the Superintendent of Light L & W SUP'T.AUTHORIZED
and Water be authorized to purerase one 3 K,,, TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES;,;
and one 10 K.W.,transformer and one coil of NW�o.
8 weather proof copper wire..

It was regularly moved and carried that the
appointment be approved.
It was moved that the report of the Auditing SO.CAY,.EDISON COr,BILL
and Finance Committee on demand No.1959 of the FOR JAW..PROTESTEDC,AS
Southern California Edison Company for electric TO SURCHARGE(.)
energy for January,1920 be adopted and approved
and that a warrany be drawn for the payment of
said bill under protestfto be attached to said
warrant as recommendedffbby said Auditing Committee.
